Challenging, Semi-Affordable Course, but Nothing Special

Miami Springs offers a challenge with some long Par 3s and 4s, and has a pretty good design with some raised greens, tall bunkers, and a decent track. The course is not in impeccable shape, but it's playable. the fairways and greens are pretty good, but the rough is inconsistent. I would play here again but I would never pay the full price, it's not worthwhile - only deal times with promo codes. There's better bang-for-buck in Miami. Although I do appreciate the history, grass driving range open late, and two putting greens.

Fun cheap round for casual golfer

Flamingo Lakes is a great course to practice, but it's not for the most discerning golfer. However, given the price, you get what you pay for. The front 9 has probably the worst greens I have ever seen, particularly hole 3, which has a large patch of mud along with weeds abundantly sprinkled all over the putting surface. This green and others look like they haven't been maintained since the day the course opened. The greens of the back 9 are much better, though.

Overall, for the price, Flamingo Lakes is a course I'd return to for a casual round to work on my game.

Great Value, Respectable Course

Flamingo Lakes is a solid course to have a fun day to get out there and play golf without breaking the bank. Compared to most inexpensive courses, the conditions are pretty good - there were a handful of greens that were in terrible/unacceptable shape, but aside form those, overall the course is quite nice. We played right after it had poured the night before so there was also quite a bit of standing water, but we still had a fun time. Also, both times I have played this course, we had it all to ourselves so we could take our time or play quickly without having to worry about other players in front of/behind us. In summary, I would definitely return to this course. It doesn't resent the toughest challenge, but it's good practice if you want to get good at scoring. You should have plenty of GIR opportunities with wedges/short irons, even if you don't drive the ball very long.
