PGA WEST Pete Dye Dunes Course
Played On 03/09/2021Painted Mountain Golf Club

Not a top grade course but reasonable deal for family play. Greeting staff was aloof and not helpful until approached. Greens were slow and course was in moderate condition
Conestoga Golf Club
Played On 02/01/2020Fun layout
Very exciting course in good condition. Pace of play a little too slow. Lack of layout mapping on hole placards and scorecards makes course difficult for those of us who are not familiar with the geography. I would have gladly purchased a booklet of the hole layouts and recommendations for play if offered
This would have saved us some consternation and strokes.
Snow Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
Played On 02/09/2018Good Internet Deal
This was a good deal this time of year in the Las Vegas area, obtained through Internet connections. Picturesque venue with adequate challenges, and overall a good value for the money. Well designed course, and in good shape
Vaaler Creek Golf Club
Played On 09/13/2017Welcome to Texas
My family played this course as the Marriott that we are staying in for a conference wanted $299.00 per player for their guest rate on their courses. Vaaler was a much better deal, and I am sure we had just as good of a time. Although it was a fair distance from north San Antonio, it was a good southern style course, with interesting layouts and challenges. The parking lot is a little confusing, and there is not a good bag drop off area, but the staff was very nice and courteous. Overall, a quality course and a good value and a fun time!
The Links At Sleepy Ridge
Played On 08/01/2015Family Day
Good course with considerable benefit given to women via shorter length, making it much more fair. Greens were quite slick, but true. Friendly staff. Not an extremely difficult course, but challenging. For those unfamiliar with the course, there are no readily available diagrams of the holes, making it difficult to know where to aim drives.
Homestead Golf Club
Played On 8/3/2013Beautiful environment
It is hard to match the scenery in this mountainside course. There are lots of holes where players must measure their risk/reward odds, either being conservative and settling for the par or bogey, or chancing a more dangerous shot for a potential birdie. The GPS in the cart seemed to have accurate distances to the pin, not just to the center of the green, which is a useful feature. The mountainous layout results in many necessary altitude adjustments for club selection. Fairways are well maintained, and greens reasonably intact and on the fast side for Utah. The cart assistants at the parking lot are attentive and eager, usually local High School students.
TPC Scottsdale - The Stadium Course
Played On 9/19/2012A classic course and a must play for your bucket list!
Early morning tee time resulted in quite a bit of dew. Some groundskeepers seemed aloof to the golf going on around them, and did not clear for shots for prolonged times. Course was in wonderful shape, with well maintained greens. The excitement of being on a course which was well known from television exposure was enjoyable.
