Pine at McCormick Ranch Golf Club
Played On 04/09/2023Overpriced
Top dollar greens fees, bottom dollar service and course.
Starfire Golf Club - The King Course
Played On 02/04/2023Pace of Play Is Glacial
I’ve played Starfire quite a bit because it generally has open teetimes. The worst part is the pace of play. I’m writing this on the 17th hole given that there’s nothing better to do for the next 20 minutes.
My advice? Pack a lunch. You’re in for a long day.
Bali Hai Golf Club
Played On 03/05/2023What a waste
Greens in miserable shape. To be fair, I played on a cold and windy day. I’ve played here before and found it meh. But it is convenient to the airport.
It’s a $45 muni masquerading as a $200 course. Avoid.
Country Club of Coral Springs
Played On 02/11/2023Like a landfill … with golf holes.
Rude staff + horrible conditions = a ripoff. You should avoid this dump at all costs.
The Phoenician Golf Club
Played On 11/26/2021Awful
Boring muni track with high prices and rude people.
Lookout Mountain Golf Club
Played On 12/15/2020Zero course management
The most hit or miss course in Arizona. You can have a good time or the pace of play will drive you insane. Today was another miserable experience. Lasted eight holes in 2.4 hours before calling it quits
LeiboAZ,
We are sorry that your latest round did not meet your expectations and it appears your review may be misleading. According to our Marshall's records, you were on the 7th hole in 1 hour and 15 minutes, well under our expected pace of play of 4:18. In fact, all the groups in front of you had played the front 9 in under 2 hours. We do pride ourselves on course management and ensuring all golfers have an enjoyable round. I would be happy to discuss your most recent round with you. Please email matt.nagel@hilton.com.
Camelback Golf Club - Ambiente Course
Played On 06/14/2020Summer Hasn’t Been Kind
I’ve played here 20 times and never seen this course so beat up. An $80 round was 3x what it was worth. Greens recently punched but no warning on GolfNow. And fairways as barren as a wasteland. You can get similar conditions for $25 elsewhere in the Valley.
Palm at McCormick Ranch Golf Club
Played On 10/24/2019What A Disaster
From the pace of play to the course conditions to the nastiness of Stan, the Course Ranger, this goat track is a must avoid. It’s not worth the money, nor is it worth the 5-6 hours of your life.
I love golf and play 2-3 times a week. I wouldn’t play this course again accompanied by Tiger Woods and a beauty queen. The best part? Leaving the parking lot.
The Club at Emerald Hills
Played On 06/03/2018Staff Acts Like This Course Is The Augusta of So. Florida
This place had its heyday back when Reagan was President. And yet the staff still acts like they're stewarding more than a glorified goat track.
Principal complaints: Glacial pace of play, not a drop of water to be found anywhere on the course, beverage cart operator disappeared to the witness protection program, and the general condition of the course. Couple that with the attitude of everyone from the desk guy to the cart guys and you end up paying about 60 bucks for a $20 experience.
Save your money ... and the 5.5 hours of your life.
Camelback Golf Club - Padre Course
Played On 10/06/2017Nasty Staff, Slow Pace of Play
What a sad Friday at Camelback Golf Club. Perfect weather, some spare time and a chance to get out for 18. Sadly, if this course was half as good as the staff believes it to be, it would be Augusta. Couple that arrogance with shoddy service, patchy fairways and glacial pace of play and you have a course you shouldn't play -- ever.
I've played here perhaps 10 times in the past year ... typically on sister course Ambiente, where the layout and course conditions make up for the indifferent customer service. Never again, at least where Padre is concerned.
You know the old saying - fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 10 times and there are too many better golf courses in Arizona to spend a hundred bucks on this place.
Encanto Golf Course
Played On 09/05/2015Glacial Play, Fairways Look Like A Mine Field
If you're a fan of being caught behind 75-year-old walkers and fairways that look like Beirut, Encanto is your course. For urban golf, a 9-iron from downtown, it's about what you'd expect: honking horns, rushing traffic and, uh, interesting patrons. All that would be fine if it was possible to finish a round in less than 5 hours. It isn't.
Hello, LeiboAZ. Thank you for reviewing the course. We would like to apologize for your recent experience.
We're sorry to hear you were less than satisfied during your round. We pride ourselves on our providing great service and the high-quality standards we maintain.
We hope you'll give us another try in the future!
