The day was wet and the course handled it relatively well it’s in good shape for the most part. Greens were running true and quick.

Wintertime golf in Phoenix can be expensive, but GolfNow snagged a good morning time for this single out-of-Towner. Playing the forward tees made the course quite playable. Good layout. Good conditions. Enjoyable.

Weather was great for the end of November. The course was full, but not crowded. In spite of dormancy, the grass played well.

We were surprised by the feeling of being out in nature, especially on the front. Each hole presents a good risk and reward choice. With all the recent rain, the place really greened up. Even though recent aeration made the greens bumpy, they seemed to allow true rolls. We liked it.

I had not been back to Cummings Cove for several years. The course has matured into a great mountain course. It is deceptively short, which presents its own challenges. One of our foursome says, "I think I need drive on only one hole." Control is the name of the game here. Beautiful scenery makes the day pleasurable as well. The grounds staff and club staff are tops.
