The Club at Eaglebrooke
Played On 02/24/2021Great course, great value! Play it.
Believe the reviews, the course is fantastic. The layout is challenging, but not brutal. Good elevation and undulation in the fairways and greens. Water is in play on a good number of the holes. For 50 bucks, it is the best deal around. What you will find with most Florida courses is anything that is open to the public is in terrible shape. The semi-private courses (this is one) are very well-maintained. My only caution to you is the people that are “members“ don’t mess around. We were the first group out (4 guys, 8-12 handicaps, 7:20am) in the morning and they stacked five or six member twosomes behind us. The oxygenarians wanted to play lightning fast. We finished in 3hrs, 45min and these old folks were on us like white on rice. Also saw a big ole gator, which was cool
CrossCreek Golf Club
Played On 09/03/2020Good, could be great
The course is in the foothills of Temecula and is narrow, little margin for error and forces you to hit "shots". Its a little over grown, usually over watered and generally in OK shape. Its a great layout, tones of character, pace in the AM is good, winds in the afternoon are brutal. Pace of play after 1pm is terrible. If they had a little more $$ to invest in this place it could be the "jewel" of the Temecula area courses.
Mt. Woodson Golf Club
Played On 04/26/2018Great value at the right time of year
Listen, for $30 I don’t think you can beat Mt Woodson in the middle of Spring. It’s about value on a course that takes the driver out of your hand makes you hit golf shots. If your big off the tee but spray the ball a little you better bring two dozen or be ready to hit a long iron on most par 4s. Right now it’s in good shape, the rate is cheap and the course plays pretty quick. If you looking for an afternoon round during the week or just a fun track for under $50 do yourself a favor and play Mt Woodson.
