Great 27 holes of golf

I have played here 5 times now. Each time course is in great condition. Prefer the Otter and Bear nines over the Fox nine. Either way you cant go wrong playing here. Fairways a little long but they where mowing them the morning we played. Also around the greens was wet from overnight watering. Only 2 greens had issues. Both on the bear nine: One with a fertilizer burn through the middle of the green and another with a sandy patch near the pin placement for Sunday. Overall good course that is worth the play.

Great Course off the MB strand

This is the second time playing the course. As before course is in very good condition. Greens rolled perfectly and in great condition. My only complaint is with pace of play and no course marshall. Other than that great course that I look forward to playing each time I come to MB.

Great Course with messed up tee management

First let me say I love these courses. I have played here 4 times now and love all 3 nines. Heron and Ibis are my favorites. Egret is good too just more homes. The routing is excellent and the courses are kept in top shape. On the day we played fairways a little long thus slow and greens firm and fast. My only issue is with the management of tee times and 9 hole routing. We had a tee time of 12:30 however due to issues with lack of carts and player routing we did not get a cart until 12:55 and tee off until 01:05 pm. On top of that the cart battery started dying at hole 13 and we barely made it back to the clubhouse where it died. Does that mean I will never play here again? Nope love the courses and the rates are reasonable however will be very careful to check with shop before making tee times on what is going on the day of play.

Play the Champions course in Championship condition

I have played the champions course many times and never a bad round. The course is always in great condition and this time was no exception. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are excellent. Running a little slow maybe 8-9. Bunkers are consistent in depth and feel. Greens are firm and but will hold and are consistent as well. Overall I love playing this course as it challenges every part of my game.

Great Layout that is challenging bur fair.

Great Layout that is challenging bur fair. I like this course however the Burmuda is still dormant and fairway grass is non exsistent. The Greens where punched 3 weeks ago and still suffering many holes and very erratic bounces and rolls. Will come back and play it when the greens heal and the fairways have green grass. Unfortunately that may take 1 to 2 months....

Always fun to play the little brother course (who bites)

Yes it is the little course to big brother however it has some teeth so watch out! The greens are just as fast as the Championship course and there are few holes that can run up your score if you do not pay attention and play smart. It is tighter and shorter but alot of fun to play. The bunkers are more consistent and the layout is alittle tighter.

Freguent player still recommends

I have been playing Tanglewood for 20+ years and still enjoy both courses. The chanpionship course is always a challenge. The greens are perfect and fast however the course needs work with trees and debries after the last winter storm. Some of the bunkers are also inconsistent. Give it a couple of weeks and they should have those issues fixed.

Great Layout however holes closed

Great Layout however holes 4-8 are closed due to water main issues. Not very happy with that. Greens are top dressed and pretty much unplayable. Will probably be that way for another 3 weeks. Look forward to playing it when the grass starts to grow again.

Great Pete Dye course at a great price

Even though it may take a little longer to play due to traffic it is still a very good course for the money. We played it on Jan 12th 2013 and the course is still in good shape considering the Bermuda is dormant this time of year. The pace of play was a little slow considering the course was full. The middle of the round is the most challenging with the holes along the lake. It play's longer than the yardage of 6564 due to elevation changes and shots that must be worked left and right into the greens.
