Tatum Ridge Golf Links
Played On 02/28/2023Crappy course, way overpriced
Made a tee time online and grabbed the first tee time after 2:00 for the twilight rate. I was coming from out of town and it was going to be my first round of the year, so thought I would play an average course to start with. When we arrived you could tell it was in pretty rough shape, but I thought it would be okay for the price. Unfortunately when I checked in the person said it was $80 instead of the $55 that was listed online. He said that was the online rate and it required me to prepay. I called in to make the tee time. He said that’s how all times are now and I told him I play a lot of golf and that isn’t always the case. I should have canceled my tee time and booked it online. I would have cared less if I wasn’t paying for 3 people and the course was nicer.
Regarding the course, the greens were in good shape, but the rough was really bad with hardly any actual grass. The tee boxes were also really beat up. Definitely not worth $80, I’ve played a lot nicer courses for $50, but Florida is expensive. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this course. I should mention that the guy in the clubhouse did give me and my partner a free hot dog at the turn because he said he felt bad about the rate. Honoring the online rate would have been a lot better, but I guess it was better than nothing.

Cannon Golf Club is one of my favorite courses in MN. It's a great course at a reasonable price and rarely crowded. It's the perfect balance of challenging, but not too difficult. The greens are fast and always in great shape. It's also a really beautiful course.
Bear's Best Atlanta
Played On 03/11/2017Expensive for off-season
I was really looking forward to playing at this course. I believe the normal price was $129, but we paid $89 for twilight. Paying this much I was a little surprised the price didn't include range balls and the carts didn't have GPS. This is off-season in Atlanta and therefore the fairways were all dead grass and the fairways were painted green. Considering the grass was dormant and the fairways were barely wet, it was disappointing that the whole course was cart path only. I'm sure the course is beautiful when the trees are filled in and the grass is green, but it wasn't when we played. The greens were in great shape, very fast, and very difficult to read. Staff was friendly and the food was very good in the clubhouse.
