Queen's Harbour Yacht & Country Club
Played On 07/26/2018Magnificent course and staff
Most courteous and engaging staff I have ever encountered at any course....and the course was fantastic, both in layout and condition. Fun to play and is deceptively tricky in many spots.
Cecil Field Golf Club
Played On 11/13/2017Awful...so sad for what once once a good place.
At 9 this morning no range balls available so worked on other things--chipping, putting, etc..., while the ranges balls were being picked up. From then to 10:30 checked 2 more times with the pro shop having seen the catch trays filled 3 different times. Still, no balls. Really? I have tried to support Cecil even in its horrendous decline in the last 10 years. But now evidently it can't even function as a second rate driving range. I have put up with terrible fairways, none existent greens, bad to mediocre at best chipping and putting greens, and purchased cut, gashed and warped driving range balls for the last time there.

Course was in great shape...winter overseed on greens was just coming in...greens were being cut the day we played and should be almost perfect now.
Country Club of Orange Park
Played On 11/03/2017Great course!
A really good course with a great layout. Plays longer because of many uphill approaches.
Hidden Hills Golf Course
Played On 10/02/2017Awesome course!
Great place to play. Would have given course conditions five stars except for the recent storm issues, however, it was still in excellent condition considering.
Thanks Robert6489087 for the review! We love that you enjoyed your time with us! Hope to have you back to play with us again soon!
Cimarrone Golf Club
Played On 09/29/2017Great course!
Top to bottom excellent course. This is a layout that exemplifies high risk/high reward golf. There are chances to trim strokes off your round here, but they come with the caveat that they may add many strokes to your round. From the white tees the course plays a little short, but from the blue or beyond the course is perfect.
Robert6489087, thank you for the 5-stars and feedback of our course! We hope to see you back very soon.
Bent Creek Golf Course
Played On 09/21/2017Bent Creek delivers
Even in the face of hurricane effect, Bent Creek is still very playable. Can always depend on Bent Creek to provide good value with its course...
Eagle Harbor Golf Club
Played On 09/22/2016Excellent shape, challenging greens
Solid course, top to bottom. Couple of wicked dogleg holes but generally the fairways are not overly tight. Reasonably challenging distance on the par 5's and longer par 4's. One par 3 pretty much has to be carried in flight all the way to the green as it is protected by a waste area from tee to green. Most challenging aspect of course are the greens and putting. Definitely upholds the adage, "Drive for show, putt for dough!"

Played On 07/31/2016Help me catch a criminal
Course was great but while I was playing my round someone damaged my white Ford F-150 truck in the parking lot behind the pro shop. Shoe print and dents on passenger door and passenger side mirror ripped off. Would have been between 12 noon and 4 pm, probably closer to 3 or so. Evidently the course ejected someone playing ahead of me for damaging clubs/golf cart, etc...and it might be this person. If you know who that person is or if you saw someone doing this to my truck, please let the course folks know, or leave a comment here for me, or contact JSO--there is a JSO report of the crime, report# 16-500249. This occurred on Sunday, 7/31/16, between noon and 4 p.m.
UNF Golf Complex at the Hayt Learning Center
Played On 07/30/2016Fantastic for what it is!
Not an 18 or even a 9 hole course. However, it is four practice holes that can be played in a variety of ways. Three par 3 holes that can be played very short or very long. One hole can be played as a par 4 or a par 5, with or without a dogleg right. You can play them as many times over as you want so it is easy to string together 18 holes. The course is in great shape--fairways and greens are excellent. Have to walk it though, but that is pretty enjoyable as well. Great driving range, putting green, chipping green, and bunker. Kind of hard to argue with any of that, especially when you book it as a $9 Hot Deal.
LPGA International - Jones Course
Played On 07/28/2016What's there to say? Fantastic!
Excellent from top to bottom. More "forgiving" in some respects than the Hills course, but lots of opportunities for your errant ball to be swallowed up. I am sure the golf gods are pleased with the amount of sacrifices I made to them.
Thank you for your 5 Star review, Robert! We are thrilled to hear that you have had an excellent experience with us and we hope you decide to come back and play with us again soon!

Greens have really responded and are in superb shape. The whole course is spot on right now.
Eagle Landing Golf Club
Played On 06/25/2016Excellent course but one glaring problem
Course is in pristine condition. Greens are not too difficult to read and most do not have severe breaks. Fairway placement important else you will regularly have to approach over a bunker. The only negative was how much the course officials pushed about playing time. Was playing a charity golf tournament where the focus should be on that, having a good time, and raising some money for a worthy charity. Was given a stern lecture before the start and was followed up with several course promptings. Takes a lot out of the fun of playing like that. Would hope that if a course is willing to host a charity event, and considering the cost to play it, the course would accept that reality and do more to make it enjoyable for the participants. Otherwise, just don't host it. I don't spend $100 or more to have course officials be so consumed with playing time.
Magnolia Point Golf & Country Club
Played On 06/05/2016Great course!
Excellent course top to bottom. The course does not play long but it has varied greens and reasonable challenges to your approach. One of the better courses I have played. Had a "hot deal" price and who can argue with that value.
Robert6489087,
WOW!! WE can't tell you how thrilled we are to hear that you absolutely loved the course and enjoyed your time with us! Please come back soon!!

Cimarrone Golf Club
Played On 05/31/2016Challenging and fun course
Opportunities to lower score if willing to take riskier distance shots. Lots of protection around greens so rewarded for correct fairway placements and approaches, and punished for incorrect. Fairways are pristine and greens are excellent. Lots of chances to hit balls in water and other lost ball areas so accuracy is a must. Hard to criticize much about this course. Played as a single. Would have been nice to know if another/twosome/threesome was playing same tee time to know whether to wait or tee off.
Thank you for the feedback Robert6489087, We are so happy you came out and found the greens and fairways to to be excellent. We hope to see you soon!
Cecil Field Golf Club
Played On 05/28/2016Keep course in perspective
Greens are the worst aspect of the course--virtually no grass and are hard as a rock. Fairway is hit or miss and the ground is a bit hard, but just grant yourself some relief and improve your lie when needed. The best thing about the course is it allows a beginner to intermediate player to work on their long game. That is what I went out there for--the drive and fairway shots. There was a time when this was a great course to play but that is not the case now. However, it is serviceable for certain aspects of your game. Beyond that, the folks out there are friendly, the food was fine, and the new electric golf carts are a nice improvement.

Excellent course...greens still a little bumpy from the aeration...one of the best golf values in Jacksonville.
