They put a lot of work into the course, and it's paying off. The grass is thick and lush almost everywhere. There are some very pretty views including the landscaping and surrounding nature.
The layout is demanding with all the water and tight landing areas. There are several holes with forced layups, and it's not obvious from the tee box. Except for 8 and 9, it's approximately the same as Ridgewood Lakes, so you'll need a course map GPS or app until the cart GPS comes online.
The tee boxes are good and pretty flat. The fairways were a little soft, normal for a sunrise tee time, and I usually found good lies. There were a few mushy spots in fairways, but they also warned of a sprinkler malfunction. The rough is good and thick, but not so long it hides the ball; you can still advance the ball, but best to stick to the fairways. The greens are coming along. They're slower than they look. Once the adjustment was made, the ball rolled fine.
The range, practice green and restaurant were closed, but the staff were attentive and helpful.
Bottom line, it's worth playing now, and it'll only get better.
