I have to start by saying I got a great deal on a Golf Now Hot Deal, or I would have been upset. As it is, I paid what it's worth, $15. The greens are in relatively poor condition, with weeds growing throughout, and bare spaces on many. The rest of the course is just frayed, and the bunkers are pretty well unplayable. I find the frayed part acceptable for an inexpensive course, but not the bunkers or the greens. No wonder the place was almost empty on a beautiful (but hot, it's Houston) Friday afternoon. In addition the woman at the cash register was curt, not friendly at all. I have found this a couple times when I have Hot Deals, but I paid, they accepted, so I should get the same treatment as someone who paid full fare. I only saw one other employee, a woman in a cart, but she didn't speak or recognize me. Too bad, because it's a very pretty layout, lots of trees, and very few houses, so it feels like a real golf course.

This is for the Lakes Course, not the Highlands. I haven't played that. I got what I was told was a great deal with a Hot Deal from Golf Now. I thought it was good value, but nothing extraordinary, and certainly wouldn't pay their "normal" price. It's a lovely course with elevation variations, lots of variety, great views. The course is in decent condition, except for the greens, the most important part of a golf course. Most had weeds growing in them, and Number 1 has a patch of some kind which is like putting through short rough. As a result putting is inconsistent, the one place you can make up for an odd errant shot. After all the hype, I was somewhat disappointed, but I had good company, the weather was great, and I certainly enjoyed myself. I guess because of their proximity to downtown they can command higher prices, but there are lots of courses around Houston as nice for less. I must say the staff were extremely friendly, which I don't always find when I have a Hot Deal price.The clubhouse and grounds are excellent, but it's a long walk from the parking lot to the course. All in all a good course.

This is a great track, in very good condition. It's probably expensive but I got a Hot Deal which made it cheap. It has lots of challenges, with fairways that run off, many elevation changes and a lot of blind tee shots. For the first time playing it it's very challenging. The only negative was that the guy behind the counter kind of left me on my own, no cart key, no directions, etc. I was just wandering around lugging my bag. Some other person eventually was a huge help, must have been the boss although he was dressed casually. All in all a great round of golf. The tournament was well placed and didn't hold us up till the last 4 holes, and we were a twosome.

The course is in good condition, greens were good, bunkers, as with most courses it seems these days, are a little hard, but at least reasonably kept. This is not a course for beginners if you play off the white tees. The front nine is fine, but the back is very long (3300), and tough. For seniors I'd recommend the gold tees, especially if it's your 1st time here. 3 of the par threes are over 180. I played alone in the afternoon, and there were not many others out, so pace of play was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful, all in all a very good experience. And I got a good deal on Golf Now, $25 with a cart.

I had played West Wind the day before, and thought I'd try another course. I read the reviews, and one mentioned slow greens. That's the understatement of the year! It's a very nice layout, and pricing would be good if the course were in better condition. The greens are painfully slow, look like they weren't cut that day,and some that were cut had bare spots and were severely marked. Fairways and rough around the greens are ratty, as are the tee boxes. All in all very disappointing, even though I did shoot 80.

This is a really nice course, very challenging on the back 9. A previous comment mentioned 13, quite a tough hole as it slopes rapidly to the left. There are a lot of holes where the slope of the fairway is pretty steep. Be careful if you play there for the first time, the fairways can run off. The greens are good, although a little slow, and the course is in good shape. Their daily play at $25 includes a sandwich and a fountain soda, both very good. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I'll play there again, probably tomorrow.

This is a solid golf course, tough enough for better golfers, probably too much for beginners. The course as in good condition, and pace of play was very good. The staff were friendly and accomodating. And I got to meet some very nice guys I played with. It's my bonus for traveling all over the country.

This is a slightly above average course, nice variations in altitude, and interesting and sometimes tough greens. I paid $31.50 on Golf Now for an afternoon rate. That's a pretty high price for a slightly above average course. I thought it would be interesting to play in Napa, but 18 holes of grape vines is way too much. Apparently it's the best course in the area, so I wouldn't discount it, but a better price would make it more desirable.

This is a really nice layout in a gated community, and has lots of trees, minimal water for a Florida coast course. The greens had been punched a couple weeks ago, so they were a little bumpy, but still played well. I played two days in a row, the first day was a little tough because there are some misses you need to know, but the second day was great.

This is a really good layout, some really tough holes (like #1) and some average ones, not really any easy ones. The course is in really good condition although the greens could be a little faster. All in all a very good course, and great value.

I played this course 4 or 5 times during my stay in the area. It is a good layout, interesting and challenging enough for better players but a little tough for those just starting. There are a LOT of bunkers. The greens are in good condition, and fairly fast although in the late afternoon they get a little bumpy. As with most moderately priced courses the rough, tee boxes and fairways are a little scraggly, but it doesn't affect play, and most days I played in the early afternoon for under $20. I would play this course again anytime!

I have played this course many times over the years, and it's in as good condition as I've seen it. The greens are rolling really well, and the rest of the course is in very good shape.

Very well maintained course, great layout, short but very challenging greens.

The greens have been attacked by a fungus or something, and are bare with patches of grass here and there. Impossible to put on. Two holes have temporary greens set up. In addition, the fairways are ratty. The staff do not tell you this when you check in. This course should be closed until the greens are replaced.

They should pay us to play there. The course is in terrible condition, the clubhouse has old junk lying around, and I paid at the snack bar!!
