A decent recreation course

A decent close-by recreation course, played there many times. The cousre sit at foot hills with a good view of surrounding hills, relatively easy and very walkable, with moderate tree and water trouble, and enjoyeable.

A very good short course

This course has 11 par3s, 5 par4s and 2 par5s, with total 63 and 5079 yards from back tee, so it still got some challenge to play. 11par3s range from 150 to 220 yards from back tee with variaty of elevation change. par4s and par5s are just like regular 18 hilly course. the course is designed by Trent Jones Junior, and a very decent recreation course.

another good Johnny Miller designed course

This is another good Johnny Miller designed course, with some similariry as other Johnny Miller designed courses, with some hilly specifics from holes 13 to 17 which zig zag throuth the hilly area of the course, the course is chanllege with variaty of bunkers, water, canyon, trees and OBs, the only thing that greens are not as good as used to be, maybe just after aeriation.

A decent public golf courese

This is a decent public golf course with some interesting layout. The course sit on a flat area, very walkable, still got some challenge with trees, water and OBs. Back 9 is more interesting. Hole #9 and #18 are probably signature holes for this course, both grees are well guarded by water, especially with an island green on #9.

A decent golf complex

This golf complex has 36 holes, decent design & decent lauout, the 18 holes we played, namely Jack Clark in remodling stage, so course condition is not good, but still can feel the design and layout, green is also ok.

A good golf courese

They have three 9 holes course, namely creekside, hillside and diablo. creekside & hillside open for 18 holes play, diablo open for 9 holes play, but with unliimited play deal you can play three of them on one trip. they are all well designed, with very interesting layout, plenty of water and sand traps along fairways and greens, so placement of golf shots is important to get a good score. the diablo is relatively short comairing it's two sibling courses, and a lttle cozier, but still got teeth and ready to bite if careless with shots. only bad thing now is that some fairways and greens are not in good shape and some maintenance needed, still playable though.

Still Green Golf in This Course

many golf course in California have "brown golf" policy due to the drought this year you van still enjoy "green golfing" at SanJuan Oaks, green fairway, not too wet, not too dry. The course has a very good design, front 9 on the more flat plain with lots of waters, back 9 on the rolling hill with some elevation change. back 9 has more wind effects so strategy on tee shots is important, otherwise, balls can be easily lost. there are some challenge holes on both front and back 9. the overall experience is enjoyable.

A course on rolling terrain

This is a very interesting course on rolling terrain, its real rolling terrain, even on fairways, overall, the course offer very interesting layout, a little intimidate for first timer, simple lots of semi blind shot, and you need think about shot placement. the bad thing about the course now is that its not in good condition, both fairways and greens, that need be changed.

A Challenge &Fun Course

Ranch is one of most challengist course in northen california, slope rate is 147, definitely not a course for a beginner, take more golf ball with you. so number one thing is to keep the ball in play to play this course, hit it straight you will be fine, other wise is a long day, also need pay an attention to up, down, side whatever slope of lie when hit your shot, and the placement of your shot is also in account. the course is on the top of hill, so a good view, don't forget take your camera phone with you.

Walked

course pre renovation, still good for walking & practice

due to city plan, oringinal hole 11, 12, 17 lost to some park facility. hole 9 divided into a reachable short par4 & a long par3, hole 16 divided into a reachable par4 & a par3, hole 18 shorten to a par3. green still ok. after the game, check out the renovation plan for a new par71 18 holes course, longest tee still has 6600+ yeards, so not bad. the renovation start late spring this year, and will be finishied & opened by september next year. deinitely look to play the new designed course by then.

A fair park style course

We played on a windy day, very strong delta wind, as far as course concerned, only last three holes give people some memory, we drove far from south bay, so its probably not worth to drive far to play this course.
