Greens are good. Fairways need work and are very dried out. Ponds should be cleaned out and fresh water added. Overall, good challenge. A little expensive if you don't have any discounts. Only play it once every 2 years, but do come back.

Nice course to play on a sunny fall day. Unfortunately the leaves are starting to fall, making it hard to find your ball. Nice new outdoor patio to sit in the sun and have a beer after the game. Better now with new management.

Course is the same old thing. Fairways and greens are good. Cart paths are brutal. Have played here off and on for a number of years. Nothing gets any better. Only play it because we get it cheap thru golf now.

Same old course. Cart paths are terrible. Not much grass in the fairways. Whole course has poor drainage, thus was very wet. When we took our golf bags off the cart after our round, found over a dozen cigarette buts at the back. Usually play this course once a winter. Never gets any better. Only paid $23 thru Golf Now. Not worth any more. Won't be back.

Played the same course today as yesterday. Everything was great. People are so friendly. Course in excellent shape and the greens were fast.

Love going back to Hickory Stick every year. Course is in excellent shape. People are always working on the grounds to make it better. Greens were very fast.

Just played Beachwood 3 days ago. Considering what it went thru with hurricane Matthew, the management and staff have done a great job of bringing back the course. The greens are green and fast. The sand traps are well groomed and maintained. The fairways are green and well maintained. The rough is just a nice challenge. Even the tees are green without a lot of divots. Amazingly, the cart paths are in pretty good shape (easy on the back) except for one section of about 20" that needs some work and some new fill.
Excellent course for seniors or average golfers. Just needed the beer cart to come around one more time. Unfortunately, the girl stopped arounf 1:30.
Try it people , you will like it for the money!

The Burford course was a fun course to play. Too many trees for some people. Not enough distance markers on the fairways. Need direction signs to the next hole. Tough to know where the next hole is sometimes. Nice outdoor deck at the 19th hole. Will definitely be going back and recommending to others.

Played here last year and it was just OK. Nothing has been done to it. Not very good at all.
Started off with the bag guy screwing up the start. Then the first green was mostly all sand and bumpy. Most of the greens were the same . Never saw a worker on the whole course. Cart paths were pretty rough. Fast play because of few people on the course. I guess everyone knows how it has gone down hill.
Used to like the course. Unfortunately, we will never go back. Not worth the money or the time. Drove 30 miles for nothing.

Have played this course 5-6 times over the last 8-9 years. Have seen it when it was even shut down. They are spending no money on the course itself. The cart paths are terrible to non existent in some cases. Can't even play the 8th hole because of "construction" that wasn't happening. The greens were painted green. The fairways are mostly light brown. Don't waste your money going there. Definitely going down hill. Won't be back.

This course is good for an average and above golfer. Cart paths were in pretty good shape. The last 3 holes are over rated, but challenging. Good value for the money. Enjoyed coming back.

Golf course was good value for the money. However, cart paths were very bumpy and not well maintained. Pine cones and small branches not cleaned off in days or maybe even weeks. Cart paths are not good for someone with a bad back. This lack of maintenance is not unusual for average courses in SC.
