We played at 1:22 on 8-17-19 and it was hot. The course was in great shape. They punched the greens and you could still see where they affected your putts but other than that the course was great. There were 5 of us and we had holes open in front of us and behind us so the pace of play was great. The guys in the pro shop were great as usual. The cart girl kind of disappeared but they had water on the course that was great. I will play this course whenever I can even though I live in Decatur.

The greens have been aerated as of Aug 12 . May want to avoid for a couple of weeks.

The course is a great layout. The greens were air rated a few weeks back but they are filling in fine. It does affect some putts though. The fairways are excellent. The sand traps need some attention from what I could see. I only hit into one but you can see the black lining on some of the ones that we passed.
The pro shop guys are as friendly as can be . They always are and I have been playing there since it opened. The cart girl and the grill lady was not very nice or friendly. The seemed to all be short and just not approachable in a service industry that is not good. I will say they probably had a full day because it was packed.
A beautiful day. Windy and partly cloudy. The dark clouds did show up and the wind just increased.
This is a great track. Always has been. They need to take care of this old girl with TLC and she will be just fine. She is still a great place to play. We used the ideal golfers pass and that was like Christmas in July.

The course is great. The sand traps were not kept up due to rain I guess but grass had grown into some bunkers. The greens were fast and great. Best feature of the course. The tee boxes were disappointing in that they were small and like an after thought. The driving range and putting green were small. Get there early if you want to practice. Part of the course was flooded I understood but we were not told this when we made our tee time and nor were we told before we teed off. Disappointing. They charged full rate. It rained off and on but the outing was enjoyable. The staff was friendly in helping us know when to come and when we could go back out. Overall, an OK experience but for the price we could have played other courses that were not flooded.

The greens were air rated not too long ago. Both fairways and greens. The greens were rough but should be good in a couple weeks. The Pro Shop and Grill area and people are top notch.. I will be back. I love the course and the people in the Pro Shop. It was windy today which added to the challenge. The rough around the greens is thick and challenging you to get up and down.

Great course. Great condition until you get to the greens. They are fair to good which is not what you would expect from Cross Timbers. They are usually exceptional. Bring the greens in and water the course.

The course is not very good right now. The fairways are bare as is the greens. You get these spots of grass or whatever they are throughout the greens that affect your puts. The poor guy trying to check everyone in needed help but had to keep walking back and to the guy with answers that was just talking to some chick and guy just out of the pro shop. Then you could not get anyone to maintain the concession area. People were lining up there as well. Pace was slow but ok. No Marshall working. Play did get back up at times. People were friendly. Just not prepared. They had a tournament but I guess most of the staff went home after it was over. Not the best time.

The course is in transition already. The greens are coming in nicely. The fairways are mainly dormant but there is some green coming in. The course is in great shape.

The course is in OK shape. Some of the tee boxes were hard to put a tee in the ground. The fairways were thin in some places but overall pretty good. The greens were OK. They showed a lot of traffic marks.

The weather was warm and by the back nine the sun was out. The pro shop staff is very friendly. The restaurant staff is just as nice. You can always play for a reasonable price.

We had a foursome and we all came away we a great experience and wanting to come back as soon as we can. We couldn't ask for a better group of people taking care of us in the pro shop and providing us food. I was hesitant to play there due to feedback on the pro shop staff but they were gracious hosts and very nice. We will be back. The course was fun to play and the greens were great. The greens were fast and fun to play.

We played today after all of the rain. It was cart path only so we had the course to ourselves. The course is in great shape. There are leaves but that is everywhere this time of year. The greens are in great shape and are fast. The wind added to the challenge as well as playing in our first real cold spell. The course is worth the money.

The course was great. It is rarely busy but it was real busy yesterday before the holiday. Course is in great condition but the greens show a lot of traffic and scars from that traffic. Over all it is a great place to play and is worth the value you pay to play. The greens are a real challenge to read and play.

We played today in the off and on again rain. The course was in pretty good shape considering 2+ inches of rain fell over night. The course was soaked. Cart paths only. Nobody out playing so we just played at our own pace. There are dead areas around the greens but they could be killing grass that is not wanted and bring back good grass. Greens were great. The course played very long but still fun.

I would not waste your time and money. I played on a pass for two for $26. Not worth it. They are not keeping the course up. They had the pump for water system go out. With all of the heat they were in a bind. Great course to play and have fun but they are not taking care of it. Pass on playing.

This is a great course most of the time. The greens have a lot of dead spots that cover most of the greens. With all of the warm weather they may be in transition but some greens were really bad. Before playing call and check the greens. It may be worth skipping until the greens get better.

This is a fun course to play. I love the challenge of the greens. They are receptive to a good iron shot and pretty fast. They are deceptive in reading the putts. They are fair and usually pretty smooth. The par threes are great. The part 5s can be long and short. The part 4G are a good challenge as well. The fairways have some angles so you have to put your drives on the right side of the fairway to have a good next shot. This is a great course to play. They have good deals from time to time.

Cross Timbers has the best greens to play on. They are usually fast and resemble what the Pros play. This is the best part of the course. The course is short on some hole but you have to know where you can miss or you will be in the rough or in the trees. When you put together the wind, the challenging greens and the slanted fairways you soon find out that you entire golf game is being tested. Remember to aim for the bird houses that are on each hole. They are you target from the tee box. This is a truly hidden gem. It is a great test of your skills and make sure to bring your A game.

This is a great course. When we played they had just air rated the greens so they were not perfect but other than that the course was great. The Trophy Club Staff was great and very friendly. They seemed to love their jobs and showed it in how they treated you. Playing the Hogan course was a bucket list item for me and I was not disappointed. Great tee boxes, fairways and greens. This is a great challenge and a great course. You will not be disappointed.
