This course will challenge you. It's a great value at $24 on a weekend morning. All the staff and all the players I have met here over three separate rounds have been very nice. The greens roll pretty well; and have enough break on them to be a challenge; they are small and elevated, so you need to be accurate and have a good short game to score. The fairways and tee boxes are in rough shape in a lot places, but just move yourself around until you find a good spot. You can finish in 3 hours even on a weekend morning. The first couple holes don't bode too well for the overall feel, but be patient and open minded; you can have a very enjoyable day here.

Greens are lightning fast and have a lot of break - I loved it! Hilly and undulating fairways. Interesting layout.

So many unrepaired ball marks. Otherwise, decent course for money.

Heritage Harbor
Played On 12/14/2022Challenging. Good course/facility.
Course conditions were good. Some parts of some greens need repair but mostly were very good. Slow uphill, a little fiery downhill. Challenging to read and negotiate. Fairways are sparse in many areas; you may have to move the ball to a better lie nearby; but generally play fairly and play well. Tee boxes and bunkers are in good shape. Layout is interesting & good; though it can be narrow in some areas; and local knowledge/repeat play is helpful. 18th hole is a well-designed layup-with-an-iron-off the tee design; but it should not be the last hole; 18th is traditionally full driver. Everyone I met - from pro shop to others who let me play through as a single were VERY nice. Pace of play would have been under 4 hours teeing off at 1PM on a Wednesday; I actually finished in 3.5 hrs after playing through two groups.

Good layout, good conditions, good pace midday on a thursday. Love the scripture verse references on the scorecard.
Rogers Park Golf Course
Played On 03/26/2022Can be a Good Value
It can be a good value if you can get it on a hot deal. It's a muni; get what you pay for. It's in quite rough shape in many spots, but can be playable. Layout is pretty good. Good bit of variety and elevation change. Could challenge low handicappers from the tips. Appears to have a thriving First Tee program, which is nice.
Cove Cay Golf Club
Played On 08/28/2021Narrow Fairways, Greens Not Good
Narrow fairways. Penal rough (too thick). Greens are not in good condition; not the worst but not good either; a number of times I had to move my ball to a new line to avoid damage, old cups, poor mowing, old ball marks, etc. Traps not maintained. Also, they made a mistake with the booking - I was booked as a single, but a foursome had the same tee time. Fortunately I was able to move ahead; which allowed for a quick round; otherwise I could see open holes behind us, and I'm sure slow rounds for those further back. In any case, the first tee looked a little overbooked on a Saturday morning. I would not pay full price here; would not recommend to a friend.
The Links at Greenfield Plantation
Played On 08/06/2021Good value; good layout; good condition
Greens were still a little bumpy, slow & sanded in spots from the aeration. Overall though, a good value at $20 Hot Deal if you can stand the heat.
The River Club
Played On 07/15/2021Hot Deal is a good value; conditions not bad
Although the greens are slow and furry, if you hit good putts, they roll true. None of my missed putts were the fault of the greens. Better furry and green than baked out and dead. Yes there are some very bad spots; in that case play it like GUR. And yes, 17th is temporary.
You can say similar for Blue tee boxes and fairways. A little thick, but plenty of grass, at least.
If you can stand the heat, the $20 Hot Deal is a great value.
Cold water jugs and bathrooms working.
GPS on carts is nice.
An even better deal is to book directly with the course. The price is basically the same, and you can go off way earlier than 2:36. And…you would be supporting the local business which is GREAT for all of our local hard working staff. Check us out at WWW.RIVERCLUB.GOLF
The River Club
Played On 06/09/2021Kind of in Rough Shape
Kinda in rough shape from the greens, green comp-lexes/surrounds, and some tees. Fairways not too bad. A lot of the rough is a little too rough.
The layout/design is good, though a little narrow in a lot places and course knowledge is helpful to avoid blind shot mis-haps and running through fairways etc.
I suggest you play lift clean and place onto good lies throughout the course, and just move your ball on the green wherever you need to to avoid damage and you can have a nice round. The greens are far from good, but today none of my missed putts were due to the greens; anytime I hit a good putt, it rolled true enough and went in.
The staff is very nice. They have a cool sunken bar.
My in-cart GPS wasn't responding properly to my touch location; I forgot to mention that to staff after the round.
If you can deal with the weather, the afternoon rates are a reasonable value. Mid-week, mid-afternoon pace was excellent.
Buffalo Creek Golf Course
Played On 05/10/2021Not Horrible
Although the fairways, tee boxes and traps are in pretty rough shape, the greens aren't too bad. A little slow and a little bumpy, but the growth is pretty even and not burned out and few weeds. Cart paths are in good shape. Gas powered carts, No GPS or USB port. No rakes in traps; they need to go around and tractor-rake them. Reasonable value; you get what you pay for. Layout and design is good, especially holes 13-17. Undulations of greens makes it fun.
Waterlefe Golf & River Club
Played On 04/22/2021Nearly Perfect, as usual
Had a legacy uncapped Hot Deal code; otherwise I couldn't afford it. This place is about as good as it gets in my book.
The Golf Club of Cypress Creek
Played On 04/14/2021Small Greens
Small Greens by modern standards, and somewhat inconsistent speeds. Cart paths and many other areas are in rough shape. Back nine is in better condition and has nicer feel to it than the front. I would not recommend this course.
Heritage Harbour Golf Club
Played On 04/06/2021Needs Maintenance
The Good: Staff is great. Clubhouse, restaurant etc. are great. Design is good, although on some holes it could use better definition to be able to know the layout of the hole. GPS in cart is nice.
The bad: Gas-powered carts are noisy & smelly. Fairways, tee boxes & green complexes need maintenance.
The ugly: the greens have weeds and different grasses or weeds growing in them (only 2 (17 & 18) are in good condition). Therefore, I would not recommend this course.
We are truly sorry that the course didn’t meet you expectations today. We have seen unusually high amounts of rounds played since October and to be honest, during the winter, as nights are significantly cooler, turf growth literally halts until about now when day and night temperatures warm up a bit. The weaker fairway areas are certainly showing stress of cart traffic and a few greens with weak areas definitely are in need of some new growth to kick in. We have just deployed nearly 10 tons of fertilizer to kick off a growth spurt as days get back to 80’s for the daytime norm and 60’s plus at night. We expect to see improvement in turf health in the coming weeks. Seasonal Spring broadleaf weeds also popped thru in recent weeks and we have a full time golf course maintenance group dedicated to getting them eliminated. Again, we apologize for some of the sore spots and please know that we are dedicated to progress in the coming weeks and months ahead.

Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club - North Course
Played On 03/22/2021Peaceful
Very quiet Monday afternoon. Cool weather & breezes, mostly overcast. Greens are great; same speed as practice green, but not as severely sloped; the ball WILL stop even on a downhill putt. First time on North course; possibly a little more difficult than the South. Great routing; wide fairways; plenty of room between the course and the surrounding homes. Couple of holes have trees in the fairway - not big fan of that. Good/great design though. Nice elevation change. Variety of holes layouts. Some bunkers need work, but hey, I'm not supposed to hit it there! A little damp/muddy and thin grass in a lot of places even in the fairway. Great staff. Great carts w/ GPS.; wish they had a USB port. Only issue is that 9th hole isn't near the clubhouse; no water jugs yet; bring plenty of your own water, and snacks if you need them.
Silverado Golf & Country Club
Played On 02/21/2021Furry Greens; Mismanaged carts & tee times
Greens were long and slow. Back up on Sunday 2/21: teed off 1-1/4 hrs after my schedule/booked tee time. Gas carts, no gps or usb. Rough or non-existent cart paths. Overhead power lines in play. The layout, appearance, conditions and overall ambiance of the rest of the course are about a 3 out of 10. I would not recommend, and will not be back. All of the personnel working there were very nice and as accommodating as possible.
Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch
Played On 12/23/2020Top notch
Overall excellent. Greens were a little slow and crusty and firm, but rolled true. With all the break that's in them, a little slow makes it a more manageable. Tees, fairways, fringes, collars, and traps all excellent. Complimentary range balls, good GPS on cart.
Bloomingdale Golfers Club
Played On 12/15/2020Old, Muddy and Narrow Back Nine
Greens were pretty good though. I got a super cheap hot deal of $13 on a Tuesday afternoon, so with that considered it was a great value. Cart paths are rough. This club has been in existence a long time, so many areas are compacted, so even with hardly any rain, this time of year with less daylight, you get a lot of muddy lies. Thin lies too. Sand traps are in good shape. Overall, it only took 3.25 hrs to play 18, so one can't complain. However, it was one single or twosome after another in front of me and in back of me. Everyone was waiting on every shot. There was probably one group way ahead that was too slow. Maybe a marshal would help. Carts are electric with USB connection. Nice practice area; very active. If the back nine was as open as the front (which isn't that open anyway), it would make the course more fun, and probably improve the pace of play; but it's not possible to do anything about that. Could use drinking water on course, but bartenders in clubhouse were very nice.
