Four Mile Ranch Golf Club
Played On 08/26/2021Transition happening. . .
Booked this for my wife & I for 2:10 TT. No monitoring or starter to control play. Several groups went off early as “it’s open now”. We played behind a 4some with beginners and waited every hole and almost every shot. Great views but very gimmicky. Multiple holes are blind and some have “aiming posts”. One hole ok, five is a bit much. No marshals and even though there is an 18 hole booklet with hole layouts it is very hard to determine where to hit it on several blind holes. Beautiful course but way to gimmicky for my tastes. Also there are no real facilities. Pro shop is in a trailer, no water on course, bathrooms on course are port a potty’s, and there are no weather cover stations at all. This is Colorado and the storms do roll through and did while we played. There seems to be an ownership issue at this point in time so things seem in flux. Overall fun but you’d need to play this course several times in order to know how to play it.
Flamingos Club de Golf

Played with another couple and pace of play was good. Tee box’s great (tips) fairways ok but greens were very slow. Not a bad value given the pricey resort Courses here. Would play again and the golfers bar was great food, drinks, prices, etc. terrific staff.
Royal Ka'anapali
Played On 5/29/2013Nice Layout
Really enjoyed playing this course. Up and down the Maui mountains, well maintained and friendly staff. Pricey if calling in direct but can find hot deals thru Golf now if you watch for them. Your TT must be flexible. We played a second round here due to that.
Raven Golf Club - Phoenix
Played On 5/19/2013Slow Play w/o Marshaling
Haven't played here in a number of years and although I do like the course layout, a good option to most AZ desert courses, there is little to no marshaling of the slow play here. Took well over 5 hours to play and had to wait on almost all holes which for the $117 they ask for is a little much. Also to charge $117 and include a $20 coupon for merchandise is pretty ridiculous. $16 a sleeve for ProV1's? REALLY?
Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge
Played On 5/17/2013Fun & good weather for an enjoyable round. Well laid out.
Should have played back tees for full experience but staff talked us into the championship given our 1st visit. Good value all around.
