Forest Oaks Golf Club

From tee to green this course is in horrible shape. Tee boxes are poorly maintained, the fairways are mostly dried out grass and bare spots. The bunkers are hard and the sand is so thin it might as well be painted on. The greens are the best thing about the course and they are in poor shape by south Florida standards. The pace of play was glacial as even from the tips, the course is too short. It plays way shorter than the scorecard says so every hole has back up potential. This is easily in my top 3 worst courses I’ve ever played. We walked off at the turn because the conditions were so poor. The staff was nice enough, but the course is not. Won’t be playing this course ever again.
Palm Beach National Golf Course
Played On 11/02/2019Nice remodel, but very slow pace of play
The remodel of the course was well done. The greens, bunkers and especially fairways were in excellent shape. However, the pace of play was right at 5 hours. Teed off mid morning on a Saturday and over the course of a 5 hour round, the snack cart only came by one time. Also seems strange that there was so much effort to refurbish the course, but there was no sand to fill divots on the carts. The selection of balls etc in the pro shop is poor. Overall, this is a course that focuses more on the party vibe than on quality golf which is a shame as the course could be quite nice. The staff was friendly, but the pace of play was ridiculously slow and the marshall didn’t attempt to correct it until we were on the 11th hole.

Without question this was the most poorly kept “golf course” I’ve seen in Florida. The course was a mess and I had to stop two kids who were part of the staff from trying to run down a large bird with a golf cart. Needless to say I won’t be returning.
