Lakewood Country Club
Played On 03/20/2023Spring golf at Lakewood
I generally like this course. The layout is good and holes are at times challenging.
Unusually light day, so pace was extremely good.
I have played here when pace at times it just ridiculous.
One time it took 5 hours to complete 9 holes.
For winter conditions, the course was in good shape.

I love this course. A little pricy and pace of play can be slow, but a beautiful course with great ocean views.
If staying in Kona a must to play at least once

Old Orchard Country Club

I know it’s winter and we had some freeze and then thawing, but greens were terrible and T boxes were almost non-existing.

Spooky Brook Golf Course
Played On 08/12/2021Oppressive heat Day
Heat index was about 110 with a real temperature of 98.
Was crazy hot day but we made it through 18.
My only complaint was no water on the course do you better bring some.
Course was in good condition overall and greens were fast.
Mauna Kea Golf Course

Beautifully kept a bit difficult for average golfers. Nasty sand traps but extremely nice place to play

They over booked T times and course was more mud than grass.
Play was slow and d up on every hole and had to wait

Pace was better and course was in pretty good shape. Greens were aerated making putting harder than usual

Played On 10/22/2020Greens were a mess
Greens were a mess as they aerated them and put down sand on top of it making putting a nightmare.
Pace was slow again as usual. Many players were slow and weak, making pace very slow.
Could be a great course with better management.

Course was pretty swampy and fairways were pretty chewed up.
Pace was ridiculously slow. Over booked and players had minimum golf etiquette.
Five hours for a threesome and we didn’t get to finish.

They over book T times and run out of carts. Had to wait and then lost my T time to others that jumped ahead.
Pace is extremely slow do to golfers with no course etiquette.

Course was in pretty bad shape. Tees were pretty worn and mostly dirt.
Fairways were ok in most places but also torn up pretty bad in spots.
A lot of rain and hot weather has taken its toll
East Orange Golf Course

Nice course when maintained. Sometimes it’s too wet after rain and becomes a swamp.
Some of the greens were in need of repair.
Bunker sand almost like cement, otherwise not a bad course.
