Had a great round today! Tony, the starter was friendly and very helpful. Course was in good shape. Greens were a bit shaggy, running slow. All in all, a pleasant experience.

An adventure to find, tucked away discretely in a neighborhood setting. Difficult to navigate the facilities upon arrival. Great pro shop service, young man on duty was courteous and knowledgeable, providing excellent customer service.
The course is challenging. Short in yardage, but loaded with natural hazards and layout challenges. First timers beware! There's danger all over the place. Local knowledge definitely a bonus.
Conditions were fair. Drought conditions showing up in fairway brownouts and some rough surfaces. Need liberal "ground under repair" interpretation to offset random unplayable ball locations.
Greens showed wear from heavy play. Ball marks, burn spots, gouges in putting surface...they looked like they would benefit from some serious tlc. Fringes were shaggy and needed attention.
I paid $10 to play, including cart, so I wasn't expecting a five star experience. I wasn't disappointed, but I wasn't overwhelmed, either. its a good mid-level course. Short, but challenging. Tight, but rewarding to good shots. Hidden away, but worth the journey. I'll keep this one in my alternative options file.

This was my second round at Dublib Ranch. Both rounds were terrific experiences. The Staff is warm and friendly, eager to make players feel welcome. The layout of the course provides panoramic views of the surrounding area, a definite plus on a good weather day. The 11 par 3's are challenging, but fair. The remaining holes evidence the familiar traits of RTJ design; strategic bunker placement, risk reward shots for bigger hitters, generous greens that allow a wide variety of pin placements. The fairways were lush and the greens rolled true. Playing at an unhurried pace, start to finish in under 3 hours. A definite gem of a course. I'm glad I found Dublin Ranch.

It's a scenic design that uses the surrounding hills and valleys to create a challenge that places premium on accuracy and smart play. Greens are good sized, allowing wide variety of pin placements. They roll well and hold up under heavy play. Pace of play is the only negative issue. Played twice, and both times exceeded 5 hours for 18. Must be patient and allow for extra time with poor to fair players trudging around in search of errant shots.

Well designed layout that winds its way through a residential development. Tight fairways, challenging greens, a shotmakers kind of course.
