Hibiscus Golf Club

Played for the first time since the renovation. Greens are rock hard, bumpy and sandy. Fairway grass is filling in nicely but is long. Tee boxes also very sandy. Pace of play was pretty bad. Teed off about 15 minutes behind schedule and round took 2:45 to play 9.
Busy place as public golf is scarce. Keep expectations realistic if you visit.

Fairways are full of divots. Greens are slick an in good shape. Front nine still surrounded by construction. No restrooms on the front nine.

Overall in great shape. Worth the drive. Charges an extra 2.5% for credit and they don’t take cash. No usb port in cart but has gps. Beverage cart came around a few times.

For a park district course, this is a great place. Challenging at times.
The National Golf & Country Club
Played On 02/26/2023Greens are slick! Front nine is a little difficult to navigate between holes due to construction. Worth the drive to Ave Maria for a nice golf course.

Greens were slick and in good shape. Fairways full of divots in spots but otherwise beautiful.
Stonewall Orchard Golf Club

Overall, we enjoyed Stonewall Orchard after hearing much praise for the course. Nice challenging layout. However, the greens and tee boxes are suffering either from the weather or poor grounds keeping.
The young cart staff were very friendly but I was taken aback by the starter warning me it was a “big boy “ course. Thanks for judging a woman in her 50’s before you have even seen me swing a club.

We played this course on an early Tuesday morning in late May. The course is in very bad shape. Weeds all over the tee boxes and fairways, sand traps overgrown with weeds and burnt spots on the greens are just the beginning. Seems like they just don’t take care of the course at all. Would not recommend.
