This course has been a lot happier in its past but it still offers a challenge and offers a course that has ample fairways and reasonable greens

Course was in very good shape wrt the greens and fairway conditions

This was a perfect day, the golf course was in very nice condition, the preparation was great and everything was there for a great afternoon of golf.....but it was difficult to get a rhythm going when there was a hold up at virtually every hole for a 4.5 plus hour round!!!!and it was getting dark so the golf groups to our rear must have needed lights to finish; as there was no real visible slow play I would have to say this was a case of too many golfers on the course at one time which is a management issue and should be recitfied...I will not be excited to find an afternoon tee time there until I hear there are some changes....

After using a computer to locate the name of the course we had booked and then automatically selecting pls give directions we ended up at the other Palm Desert course that is five minutes away....we had time to get to the correct couirse fortunately. Someone should rename their golf course it would seem!!!

Apart from a slow first nine caused by the immediate group in front we had an enjoyable round in perfect conditions weatherwise. the course is still growing into good condition and the rough was growing quite vigoroursly as were the greens making them a low stent # putting surface. This is an open course and should be appreciated by anyone playing w inexperienced golfers capable of errant shots as I happen to be one of those....

Course has improved over the past couple of years and now the fairways are in good condition. The greens are now very slow while the grass is coming into its growth cycle.....it should play well once they improve the stent....

I have played this course twice in the past month and thoroughly enjoyed both rounds....the pace of play was somewhat slow but that can be justified by the fact that this is not your average course. The layout of the course is superb, the greens challenging and the mature grounds without the usual residences on the grounds all can contribute to slowing the pace of play in a good way because the course requires focus.....
A very pleasant place to spend an afternoon attempting and sometimes succeeding to test your golf game.

We arrive on the course with some time to spare before we teed off....but the starter informed us we needed to check in with the desk and we needed to do this before he could tell us which carts were our assignment....since our tee time was within a half hour of our arrival it should not have been a problem since there were at least ten carts in the wait line...then he told us to move our clubs to the side as they were in the way of some more carts coming into line....the concierge sets the tone.....

It could have and should have been handled better than this!!!!!

The redeeming part of the equation was that the course is improved from the previous visit a couple of years ago and from the blues it is a reasonable challenge...the greens were much slower than many courses we play but were consistently so....they could have been considerably shorter in all likelihood...

However, definitely good value at our discounted rate.

Willowcreek is in good shape, has a variety of holes and is great value...

Had a marvellous round w a competitive foursome....the grounds were in pristine condition as were the fairways and greens. This due in part to the amount of recent rainfall in the region.

Hillcrest is in reasonable shape in terms of fairways and greens....the cart paths have been in ground under repair for the past nine months or so and the resultant carts can drive anywhere policy is going to take a toll on the course, but so far it has not been greatly affected. The course is open and tolerates those of us with unpredictable shots better than many in the area....

Like many of the more reasonably priced courses in the Phoenix area this course is somewhat rough in some areas...I thought some of the greens were a bit off on this round...not as good as in previous rounds. The balance of the course was enjoyable to play

Spring is wet on this course apparently....the water table is leaking moisture onto the course in many spots and the solution is to pump it away. This meant there was equipment working to hold the water levels down. The 16th hole was so wet it had a temporary green. In spite of it all it was a gorgeous day and the relaxed pace made it an enjoyable round
