The Ridge at Castle Pines North
Played On 09/16/2022Lovely course, horrible management.
Course is in great shape, only the sand traps are in rough shape. Amazing layout and beautiful views. That’s where it stops. I’ve played here twice recently and each time my rounds have been 5+ hours. I have never in my life had rounds as long as I have on this course. There were 4 groups together on hole 6-7, 3 groups on every other hole till 18. I waited on every single tee shot starting at hole 4, till 18.
Ranch Golf Course at Pole Creek Golf Club
Played On 07/25/2021Great Course
Have debated for weeks for pull the trigger on this course as I ski in the area in the winter. So glad I did. Played Ranch/Ridge. Ridge is in the hills for sure, lots of elevation changes. Course is in great shape and greens are even better. I do wish the greens were a bit smoother and rolled a bit faster. Idk if this is a preference of the regulars but kinda bumpy and fuzzy.
Note: I give staff friendliness a 1 star because we saw the beer cart once and when I went in to the bar to get my card after, they self tipped themselves on one beer! I can understand a large group of 12 or something, but one beer! I don’t agree.
Interlocken Golf Club - Vista/Eldorado

Challenging golf course with a few really pleasant holes.
Plumas Lake Golf & Country Club
Played On 08/15/2019Decent course, but BEWARE
If you book on GN as a single and another individual books the same tee time as you (single), this course will ask you to share a cart together. Not necessarily the worst, but not enjoyable either.
As for the course, it's a neat course in good shape. Some fairly challenging holes, and a neat creek that the course follows. The creek is EMPTY tho and its kinda a bummer. I personally feel it makes the course much hotter than it would be. SIDE NOTE: The layout is extremely confusing and holes don't necessarily follow a smooth path.
Turkey Creek Golf Club
Played On 07/30/2019Best Public Course in Sac
This and Timber Creek really push (IMO) as some of the best courses in SAC. The last two times I have been they don't even have the TIPS (Black) box set up; lots of limbs and overhanging branches surrounding the box. Leads me to believe they haven't been used in awhile. Layout is awesome, lots of rocks in the middle or sides of the course. My comment about the black boxes should give some insight into how challenging of a course it can be...
Teal Bend Golf Club
Played On 07/24/2019Great golf
Everything is fantastic about this course. Only flaw is the greens are littered with dead spots from divots. I played this course earlier in the summer and the greens were much nicer.

It’s a nice course and has a neat, yes challenging layout. Pace of play can be slow.

Tucked away back in the trees. Well designed. It amazes me how close you can be to the airport but hear nothing.
Comment on the comment from Plumas Lake. Making people double up on carts is NOT the policy for golf now reservations at all courses. I've run into it on occasion, and it's also true for all reservations at times, especially when carts are in short supply but definitely not across the board for golf now. On the flip side, golfers should know, and it didn't seem like the reviewer did, that when you go out as a single you're buying half a cart, and if the course insists you double up you can't argue against it.
Maybe so. Out of the the dozens of courses I have played this summer, Plumas lake is the only course that enforces this policy. No big deal though, I wont play the course again, or speak positively about PLCC with other golfers. Problem solved :)
