Stone Canyon Golf Club
Played On 04/27/2020Each hole has something unique about it
Great course! For the price it’s totally worth it. For sure a top public course in KC. Not a course you want to walk, some very long distances between holes. The layout of the course is unique as most holes you tee off from high up and others you hit over water or OB. Bunkers offer a great challenge, deep and big, The hardest thing about the course is the wind due to the elevation changes on most tee boxes. Greens are good size for the most part with multiple levels. A lot of areas around the green where if you miss you fall off. Fairways and rough were maintained to the level of a private course. The only negative is the lack of people playing fixing there divots. Course is relatively short, but the greens, bunkers, and hole layouts make up for that. Overall, Reminds me of an slightly easier Colbert hills, if your not comfortable with your golf game I would try somewhere else.
Heritage Park Golf Course
Played On 04/14/2020The course overall is about a 7/10, two par 3s are top-notch kc's best. It has 10 really good holes the rest are solid. Par 5s are outstanding, all 4 offer there own unique challenge. One of the hardest par 4s in KC 480 up a hill, if the wind is in your face good luck getting par. The course is usually in good shape for a public course, 7/10. Greens are medium to fast depending on the year almost always in good shape. Good use of water and trees on the course. Bunkers are in good shape always 7/10. not too hilly but a few long distances between holes, so you can walk but will take 4 min between a few holes. Negatives, tee times, they need a new website update. Too much over the phone trouble, Older guys that work there aren't interested in helping or catering to the people who want to play. Lacking customer service while on the phone trying to make a tee time. Need a cart barn. The overall course is good and worth about 30-40$.
Eagles Landing Golf Course Of Belton
Played On 04/06/2020Nice course, good condition
The course overall has a nice layout, not very hard or very easy. Greens are usually always in good shape, rough is good, the fairway is usually a little long so its kinda hard to tell the difference between the edge of the rough and fairway. But, it has some challenging holes and should be around 25-40$. middle of the pack course.
Deer Creek Golf Club
Played On 04/06/2020Great life ruining golf in KC
Deer Creek used to be a good layout and well maintained. Ever since Great Life purchased the course all has changed. No sand in any bunker, rocks old dirt. Fairways many dead dirt spots. Good layout, tight. The course is just not fun anymore. You go to enjoy the beauty and a challenge. Great life offers none of that anywhere. They overprice the rates by so much. Great location for so many people but just ruined. All great life courses are the same from what I have seen and heard. If you come across a course in KC owned by great life my suggestion is to stay away. Trying to make many courses that used to be fun private now. An absolute joke of a golf company that doesn't put sand in a bunker or try to fix the course. Terrible business.
