NIce ;layout and conditions. One of the better courses in Central Florida. Worth the journey.

We've been playing the course the last 2 years and love the layout. It pains me to see the course conditions steadily decline. The rest of my foursome is becoming more reluctant to play out here as it is a bit of a drive from Tavares and the conditions are getting worse.

I love the layout of this course. It offers many opportunities for risk/reward. Many holes have to be played more than once in order to take advantage of this amazing layout. My hate element addresses the poor condition this course has acquired. There are more weeds on the front 9 fairways than actual grass. On the back you start to see what this course could become. We were approached by the ranger after the twosome that had cut in front of us had just quit to let us know we should speed up to catch the foursome in front of us. We did by hole # 17.

Desk Staff was not very welcoming. He was more interested in pushing products than accommodating the customer. Refused to issue cart keys even though there were plenty of vacant carts. I spoke to the starter to let him know we were early and would appreciate going out early if there were late arrivals or a lull in arrivals. I ended up lugging my cart bag in from the parking lot ( I am 75 ) The starter, Al, was very accommodating and did get our foursome out early.

Everything at this course was well taken care of. The greens and fairways were very good this time of year. Greens a little faster than many, traps have good sand and are a good challenge. I' rate this course as one of the best in the area and is still at a reasonable price. The overall layout is also a good challenge at all levels of play.

This is not only one of the prettiest courses but is sneaky difficult to play. Bring lot of golf balls the first time as there is plenty of water strategically located throughout the course. The course is very well maintained and the staff is very friendly. Fairways and greens are the best in the area. Needless to say, this is my favorite course in the Central Florida area.

I realize that we had never played this course, but finding your way from one hole to the next was the biggest challenge. No cart signs to even lead you in the right direction and after the 9th, you were nowhere near the clubhouse. Kinda strange that the greens were in excellent shape, but the entire rest of the course and pro shop was a un-kept mess. As playing there for $25. was my idea, it was quite an embarrassing experience at that price.
