Another long day on the course...

A good course and nice layout. Mike the starter is a good man. Unfortunately, packed in on Saturday like an italian tuna in a can. No rangers out and about to work on speed of play. For the first 8, not 9, but 8 holes, we ran 3h20m. For the total 18 we ran at 6h32m. At tee boxes starting at #8, we were backed up 3 and 4 four-somes at a time.
On top of it, we had a group of 20 something Williamsburgh j-offs who tee-d off at 1124am hitting up on us and over our heads as we were walking on the greens. Needless to say, I don't believe they found their balls unless they went to the bushes or along 7th avenue.
I enjoy the course but it's a tough one to get people to agree to come back to.

First light tee time...

Recovering from a serious hand injury, today was the first time out in 3 months so I was hesitant to get on the course. However, I always find this course a good one to work off the rust as it close by, nice staff and price appropriate. Banged out a first light 18 holes in 2 hours and was thrilled with the score given the injury. Always a good time out, if you are in the NYC area, give it a shot. lots of parking, strong customer service and lots of changes in terrain.

An early sunday morning...

An early Sunday morning tee time at 7am, check in sent me off to #10 to start. I always enjoy making the drive from western Nassau County for a first light tee time. Easy commute, staff is friendly, reasonably priced, no a-holes thinking they are playing for big bucks for trophies, just a decent round of golf as we all try to work the rust off.
Right afterwards, I hit the farms or head into Port Jeff and hit the cheese store. Fairways are forgiving, enough water to keep you alert but not aggravate you but when the wind blows.

Don't pass on this

Not the most challenging course fir low handicappers but an enjoyable course overall. Went out at first light on a Saturday morning and complete in 2 1/2 hours. Friendly faces and voices all around. It's my go to course when I have some kinks to work out Played it a few times last year for the first time and will continue to make that 60 minute drive east in the future.
