Woodlake Park Golf and Country Club
Played On 06/17/2017Lovely Course with great views on a nice day
It was one of the hottest days of the year when we played at Woodlake Park. The course is well off the beaten track, down a succession of single track lanes, but is well worth the effort.
Had some lunch in the clubhouse before playing, and sat overlooking the 18th green with views the reservoir and hills. The bar staff were welcoming as was the professional in the club shop
It's well worth buying a course planner if playing for the first time, as there are some unusual twists to the first couple of holes amongst others. For the first six holes you gradully climb to the highest point of the course, affording lovely views over Lllnadegfedd Reservoir. The 7th is a par 3 with the green about 100 feet below the tee. Not surprsingly hte 8th is straight back up one of the steepest hills on a golf course I've faced!
The second nine is very nice too, and the course benefits someone who plots there way around rather than someone who takes a driver on most holes that they can.
All in all a top course
