Give the course a 4 overall for its layout, overall conditions, great greens, beautiful course a must play in Northern VA. Was 2 days after heavy rains came through and course was dry except bunkers; some had standing water, some washed out, and some were hard pan. Thought they could've done more to get them ready for play.

if you have played the Green Course at The golden Horseshoe in Williamsburg you will see many of Rees's design traits in this course as well. Generous landing areas on the par 4's and 5's, doglegs, short and long holes. Demanding par 4's. A very nice course in very good shape. A must play in the Richmond-Williamsburg area.

Took a little getting used to the course, not your run of the mill layout. Has a lot of fun holes, course was in very good shape and greens rolled true at a good pace. Would definitely go back, got discounted tee time thru golfnow, so really enjoyed the round.

Loved the back 9, though front 9 had a lot of forced carries, a lot of water and is very much a shot makers front 9. Back is much friendlier, if you are on top of your game enjoy, otherwise can test you mightily. Greens were in great shape and rolled beautifully.
