Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge
Played On 09/16/2021Pace of play
Front nine, pace of play was great, 1:35. Second nine came to a halt played in 2:15. Not sure what happened. Marshall, showed up on the 16th hole and said he'd try to speed things up. Otherwise course was fun to play. Maybe a little pricey for the middle of the summer in the desert.
The Golf Club of California
Played On 08/29/2021Played here 2 years ago. Not in very good shape then. Was pleasantly surprised by conditions now. Greens ran true and were in good shape. Fairways a little sparse and dry, but that is to be expected in Socal at this time of year. Teeboxes were in adequate shape. Pace of play on a Sunday afternoon was under 4 hours. Check-in, starter and Marshall were all friendly. Never saw a beverage cart. My wife and I decided we would definitely be back. Good value for the price.
The Links at Everline

We had read the reviews, and decided to drive up from South Lake Tahoe. We were treated very indifferently by the pro shop staff, andwhen we asked for a handicap flag we were told they didn't have any. When we arrived at the first tee we saw that they were definitely in need of some TLC. While the scenery is beautiful, that doesn't make up for the state of the course. Fairways had dead spots and greens were spotty. Probably most disappointing were the several holes with long forced carries over what would be swamp areas during the spring. You travelled over these wet areas by wooden trails that were sadly in need of repair. Unfortunately these bridges made up almost half of the cart paths, causing for a bouncing, noisy ride. As my wife said, this was a once in a life experience.....because we would never go back with the course in the condition it is.
Widgi Creek Golf Club
Played On 07/07/2017Very Nice Course
First course played on a central Oregon vacation. Found the course challenging, but not overly so. GolfNow pricing did not include a cart, paid extra for a cart. Pace of play was a little slow, but on course marshall attempted to put us at ease by periodically coming around checking on us. Most holes were very fair, a couple were a challenge for someone who has never played the course--some blind shots. But overall an enjoyable experience.
Escena Golf Club
Played On 03/06/2017Great Course
Played again for first time in a couple years. As nice as I remember it. Somewhat windy when we started, but calmed down and became beautiful. Some airport noise, but not distracting. Beautiful clubhouse. Course was challenging, but fair. Only negative is no driving range (hit into nets) but definitely a course to play on your valley vacation.
Pala Mesa Resort

This course has definitely seen its better days. Tee boxes were in poor shaspe and the frairways had significant dead grass areas throughout the course. Greens were OK, but nothing great. Would not be a course I would recommend to anyone.
