Arizona Golf Resort

I have lived in the valley for 20+ yrs and this course USED to be a good option. Greens in terrible shape, no grass in several parts of fairways, practice range is a joke, range balls not cleaned and so worn they don't have any dimples. I went in the clubhouse to pay and saw 16 shirts for sale...and that's it! In the entire clubhouse, they had 16 shirts and NOTHING else for sale. I seriously thought they were going out of business. I will NEVER play this course again. Really too bad as I mentioned, it USED to be a nice place to play.

Great course but this might not be the best time to play it. It would have been very helpful to know the level of maintenance currently underway at the course BEFORE I booked a tee time. Temp greens 9 and 18. Ground under repair EVERYWHERE. Adjusted par to 69 from normal 72. Several holes cart path only. When I say construction, I'm not talking about punching the greens or laying sod, I mean bulldozers parked on the course, whole sections around the greens farmed for sod. Again, great course but now is not the time to play it.
Grand Canyon University Golf Course

This course continues to be one of the best values in the valley. Middle of summer and course is in great shape. Green smooth and true, bunkers well maintained and fairways green.. if you need some extra misery in your game, play back tees where the school team plays...ouch!
Power Ranch Golf Club
Played On 06/18/2022What happened to this course?
The conditions were so bad, I left after 3 holes. Thr greens are unplayable period. I was paired with 2 members and they said they just hit the ball on the green and auto give themselves a 2 put. How do you think they are feeling about their members due about now? The fairways were in no better shape. This course used to be really nice and a good value but now...trash. I can't believe they even let people play the course in this condition. They should shut it down for the summer and fix it or sell it to someone who cares.

I have played this course at least 20 times and this was the worst shape I have ever seen it. Fairways are trash, around the greens and the greens themselves are 3 out of 5 at best. Sorry to see as I always enjoyed playing there but current course conditions do not warrant a drive from Chandler to play. Maybe I'll try again in the fall.
Las Sendas Golf Club

Played this course many times but not in awhile. Wow, really went down hill. Drive your ball down middle and when you get up to it, you find there is no grass in the middle of a fairway? Greens were worse!

We are sorry you felt the course condition was not to your satisfaction. We along with all courses in the valley are going through transition from winter to summer conditions and the Bermuda is coming in as the Rye grass dies off. Transition occurs every year and depending on the heat and temperatures though June, really dictate the progression. I am certain you will see that Las Sendas Golf Club conditions are similar to most facilities during this process. We hope you come back and enjoy our course in the future.
Bear Creek Golf Complex - Bear Course
Played On 05/12/2018Worst greens in the valley
I had not played this course in awhile so I thought I would give it a try. I really can't think of a word that would adequately describe how poor the condition of the greens are... "heinous".
The greens are so bad right now, I can't believe they are charging people to play. Pass on this course until they fix this issue.

The Duke at Rancho El Dorado

Played this course many times and usually it's in better shape but the greens are awful right now. I booked on hot deal so played for cheep. Had I paid more, I would have been upset. Hopefully they will get the greens fixed but not worth the drive right now.

Great course, great staff. Pricey for every week play but good for a summer round.
I haven't played there in quite some time, and I was thinking about it as I will NEVER play the Golf Club at Johnson Ranch again, but I am seeing one review after the other saying it's awful!
