Worth the Drive

Decided to make the hour drive from Pittsburgh to play the Links at Firestone Farms. This beautiful course was well worth it and more. From our first encounter with the staff in the parking lot, the service was friendly and welcoming. It was like they were actually glad we came to play their course! Imagine that!

The front nine of this links course is built around a housing development while the back nine doesn't have a single property on it which allows you to enjoy the beautiful setting and landscape. Really enjoyed the back nine. The course was in immaculate condition, the greens held well although they were on the slow side.

As this was our first time playing the course, I appreciated the yardage book that was included in your scorecard. This made a big difference in how we approached the course.

Make the drive - its worth it.

An Extra Special Hot Deal

I have played Butler's Lakeside course many times - it is a quality course and enjoyable experience.

My only complaint about Butler's is the pace of play. Quite often they overbook the course and round can easily extend into the 5 hour range. This round was much better - played in 4:10.

The course was in good shape except for the green on number one which has experienced some significant damage in spots. And the hole was right in the middle of the damaged area. Why not move the cup to another location?

This round was a Hot Deal and I only paid $10. This course is a good value at $30-40 so I was thrilled to secure this deal.

Thanks for your review! We do get a lot of players on the course on a regular basis, and this can unfortunately lead to a longer round despite our attempts to keep players moving. We'll make sure to check in on first green -- thank you for the heads up! Come see us again soon!

Excellent Course Value

Quicksilver is one of the finest public courses in the Pittsburgh area. It has a challenging layout with interesting greens. They keep the course in top condition and the $45 we paid to play mid day on Friday was an excellent value.

On top of it all, Jerry is one of the finest starters in the area.
