The Links at Greenfield Plantation
Played On 07/16/2023Nice shape, nice course, nice amenities
Course was in very nice shape. Love the carts with gps and music. Staff friendly, nobody on the course. Just don’t love the layout—way too much target golf on front 9, little better on the back. Very narrow landing areas and insulation that doesn’t feed balls to good places to play approach from. Otherwise, zero complaints.
Buffalo Creek Golf Course
Played On 07/14/2023It's ok
took my son out who is a new golfer, it was perfect for that. Day after green maintenance with no warning so that kind of sucked. Fairways were lush and thick, as were most tee areas. rough was ok. sand very inconsistent. A lot of dead trees hanging around and has appearance that they aren't taking care of them... But again, for the money, last minute and next to my house, it was just fine. I do wish they warned us of greens maintenance but that's how it goes...

Was perfect option to take out my 10 and 13 yr old. Course was lush, greens maybe a little slow but soft and very playable. Everything was green and it was a fun yet tricky layout at times.
Complaints about course totally surrounded by condos are unfounded. There are a few holes where condos are in range, otherwise, there was lots of space and room for error.
I will def be back. Around $50 for all 3 of us.

Played On 11/30/2018What a Value; Greens Awesome
Played about 14 holes yesterday in a rush with late day commitments. Booked rate of $20 for 9 holes in the afternoon, but snuck a few extra in as I toured the course on the back. The greens at this place, starting with the practice green, were unreal. The grass was perfect. The fastest greens I can recall playing on in years. Perfect true rolls, well groomed. Course overseeded & green; perhaps a little wet as they water in the rye. Can see it getting very wet or swampy in summer. Interesting layout played from the blues.
A bit of target golf requiring careful shot selection. Bizarre par 5 on the back the narrowest fairway i've seen on any hole, ever. Course was at times deceiving in that holes & carries looked considerably longer than actual, including the signature 9th. Staff could not have been more friendly. From the cart guy, to the pro shop and the snack bar. Such a pleasant experience I called the shop up afterwards to tell them how much I enjoyed the place.
Will definitely be playing again. Gave it 5 starts because the greens are awesome, the layout is different, houses are not on top of the course, they have overseeded which means green grass all winter. The place will be amazing come mid December when the overseed in the rough is more grown & mowed.
Highly recommend if you want something different and love lightning quick greens.

Played On 11/21/2018Very very nice
Nice course, excellent conditions. Layout seemed pretty average. No holes really stuck out as truly memorable. I did enjoy the range of green sizes, slopes, etc. Was in one bunker today which was fluffy on top inch but very firm under making shot difficult.
Recommend it but a little overpriced—not best available in county in my opinion—but very very nice and would happily play there any time.
Staff was very very friendly, ranger on course, great conditions and very nice practice area.
Buffalo Creek Golf Course
Played On 04/13/2018Management has ruined this course
Let me start by saying staff is always great, greens and fairways weren’t terrible. Obvious no water anywhere else in this course. Obvious broken pipes all over withstanding water in certain bunkers and random spots yet no rain for over a week. New management’s method of taking care of palms is to cut them at the stump and leave them. Literally dozens and dozens of stumps everywhere, including everbpakm in left side of #10. Old overturned oak stumps from last year just sitting to rot. Practice area has turned to trash. Back to gas powered golf carts.
This is a county owned asset that has been so far ruined.

Played On 02/09/2018Very nice condition; Dont believe other reviews
I had booked today which was to be my first round here and was excited. I then afterwards looked at the reviews--I know, a little backwards. I had read reviews complaining about the condition of the greens and so I became worried. However, not a problem. The course was in fantastic shape. There is winter rye grass overseeding the dormant bermuda which means the grass was lush & green. Yes, there were 2-3 greens that obviously had an ongoing issue where some transplanting was going on--which is not atypical--it happens. The pins were located well away from such areas (btw, generally small patches of maybe 5'x5') and there was no interference whatsoever. Greens ran true and were pretty quick downgrain. The fairways, again, were lush--but very tight. The fairways are narrow, particularly on the back. I clubbed down at times and hit perfect drives only to find the undulation of the fairways directs balls out of play, which seemed somewhat unfair. But whatever--it was a great round of golf. Staff very friendly, Place is clean & taken care of.
