It is always special to play Forest Hills in Augusta. The work that was done on the greenside bunkers earlier this year really paid off. With 7"+ of rain over the previous days drained completely around the greenside bunkers. A few fairway bunkers were small ponds due to the downpours. Other than that the course was great. The greens had been aerated (small punches) but were still quick and smooth. They were being rolled while I played, in fact. My score was a little elevated due to the weather, but had a good time anyway. Can't wait to try it again.

The Pine Ridge course was is fair condition considering the drought experienced here the last several months. The greens was fairly true but much slower than I've been used to playing. The course has some challenging holes with a couple hazards at the end of fairways demanding distance control on tee shots. Course knowledge is definitely an advantage.

One of the Central Savannah River Area's best clubs. Winter overseeded fairways, excellent greens, fine practice/warmup facilities, and great fellowship on a beautiful day. Played the middle tees (white) with 3 others. Conditions were crowded but really never slowed us up once we got started. With the wet conditions in the area over the last 6 weeks or so, I was expected the course to be less than optimal. It was surprised and pleased with the general conditions. Played one of my best rounds of the year thus far.

Played Independent (front) and Vintage. The front 9 was played quickly and without any waiting. The back 9 was just the opposite from the 10th to the 18th as we ran up against the final group of a scramble tournament turning from the Chester 9. Even so, the course & clubhouse is beautiful; staff is friendly; practice/warm-up facility are excellent.

I always enjoy playing this SC Park course along the banks of Lake Thurman. The views from just about anywhere on the course are great and can distract you from the golf at hand, but I say take it all in and enjoy the round. The terrain and elevation changes provide a great variety in 18 holes and require thoughtful club selection and good shot-making. Good time.

Some very interesting holes and tough challenges from the Blue Tees.. Greens were recently aerated and sanded making putting a bit inconsistent. Should have been made aware of this beforehand, but can't expect GolfNow to have that information. The pro shop certainly knew when we checked in. Nonetheless, the greens will improve over the next week or so to be certain. I did get the sense that the pro shop staff wasn't pleased with the discount (best value).

Play was very slow for a Monday as our two-some waited on every tee and fairway shot from the 1st to the 18th.
