How one man can turn a good day into a bad experience

I've played Harbor Lights in the past and normally find this a good course to play and work on your irons as its not very long. Course was in good condition, greens were well kept. Grass cutting was in process during our round. The front nine was normal play meaning we didn't have to wait on most holes to tee off as play moved along nicely. That is until we reached the 9th hole. We were unable to tee off because the club pro had a student tee off from the red tees. Didn't think much of it as we waited a bit on each shot. Thought it odd that they just hit their tee shot and never acknowledged us at all. Our play continued to the back 9 and again we moved along at a brisk pace. Driving up to hole 5 which sits next to the putting green we come upon, (yup you guessed it) the club pro) who I later learned his name was Tony. He now has a group of 4 women teeing off on this par 3. A few people who were on the putting green came over to us and thought that it was incredible that this lack of courtesy was taking place. Tony, after his group had all hit their tee shots, yelled over and said they were only playing one hole. That turned out to be a lie as they continued on and played 5-9. We waited on every shot as Tony was not only allowing them to continue to play but was teaching as they played. It was hot and getting steamy as play continued at an extremely slow pace. Very frustrating! I felt it was not the right time to say anything on the course as this would only make the slow down worse and of course, out of respect to the women it wasn't the right thing to do. When we finally finished play I returned my golf cart to the clubhouse and felt it proper to vent my frustration to the powers that be. Entering the pro shop I was surprised to see Tony. I must note that every one had a mask on except for Tony.I guess not only did he not respect my group by cutting in front of us and not apologizing for his lack of proper etiquette but could have cared less about following proper protocol and not wearing a mask as the sign on the door clearly states. I told Tony what I thought of his total lack of professionalism and quietly left without getting into a further confrontation. At this point I have no desire to ever play this course again and will not recommend it to anyone. Tony, hopefully you will read this and realize what a poor example you are to the owners and staff of Harbor Lights and those women you were teaching.
