4Putting

Very well manicured. The greens were way to fast. I had about an 8 foot uphill putt that I missed 4 times and the ball rolled right back to me. And it wasn't all that steep. The bunkers were a bit odd in that the sand was very fluffy for a 1/2 inch or so then solid. Not sure if it was the sand or me, but I had problems getting out.
The course layout was a bit boring. No hills. Nothing scenic.
I sound critical, but I liked the course. The fairways and 1st and 2nd cuts were very well manicured and I almost always had a perfect lie.

Teed-off about 3:30 and only played 13 holes before it got dark. Great deal from golfnow, so 13 holes was still a good deal.
Front 9 was slow, but moved along as people dropped out when the sun set.
Course was wide open with some ponds and 'cement streams'. Good greens. Well maintained. Traps were placed in the wrong spots for me.

It seemed like their placement of the sand traps was just to mess with my head. I ended up in more fairway bunkers than usual. Not many water hazards though.
Finished in just under 4 hours, but we waited a bit on almost every hole.
The course was well taken care of and the greens were very good.
Excellent GPS in the carts.

Everything about this course was top notch. Pace of play was quick. I only slowed down when I caught a foursome at the 15th. I finished in just under 3 1/2 hours. The only issue was they had sanded the greens, which they told me about prior to teeing off. That didn't effect my play.
I played the gold tees. Off the tee, there was about 150 yards of carry until the fairway on a lot of the holes. The GPS worked well, so I didn't even notice how the course was marked.
Since I teed off at 2:36 PM, the drink cart only made 1 pass.

Greens were in great condition. Nice course. Needs a few more hazards. I was driving the ball wide right all day and only once couldn't play it. Most courses make you pay for poor play. My score was better than I was playing, and I never say that.

Got a great deal thru Golfnow $16 with range balls. Teed off at 12:30 in temps of 105, almost no one else around and finished in about 3 hours. The course was in good shape for the most part. Some parts of some of the greens were matted down and some of the traps were partly dried mud, just needed a raking.
Beer cart showed often.
Water fountains are welled placed which helped in todays heat.
