Golf Club At Terra Lago - North Course
Played On 12/09/2022Great desert course
If you like desert courses, you should play the North course. Condition of course was great. Has elevation changes of 50 feet. It even has a par 3 with a green surrounded by water.
Celebration Golf Club

There is a lot to like about Celebration. I like the the layout in that the first few holes are played with the morning sun at your back. (no looking into the sun ) There is a lot of water on the course, but only you only have to hit over water on par 3’s. The greens had patches of fescue, but the greens rolled true. Otherwise, the course was in great condition.
Village Greens Golf & Country Club

I have always liked this layout with rolling hills, pine trees and water on the course. They have replaced their cart paths and they are smooth. (big improvement) I saw a lot of new turf around the course that will make the course much better to play.
The Club at Pine Forest

Wide fairways, with water running along several fairways. Greens were a little bumpy.
Cherokee Valley Course and Club

This course is challenging with it's greens that have a lot of slope to them. As usual, the course was in great condition.
Panther Lake at Orange County National

The course was in excellent condition. The greens were just a tad fast. The layout is OK. A couple of ponds were either dried up or low.
Maggie Valley Resort & Country Club

Maggie Valley is a jewel. The course was in excellent condition. The front nine is flat and the back nine on the side of the mountain. Knowledge of the greens on the back nine is essential for a good score. Some of the back nine greens have too much undulations. Has great views of the surrounding mountains. Some hidden water hazards on the front nine.
Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club

The fairways were 50% bare. Hopefully they will grow in this summer.
Asheville Municipal Golf Course

The course is in better shape than other courses I have played this spring. It looks like they have got a good jump on conditioning this year.
Cleghorn Golf & Sports Club

Beautiful course. Hilly, but has wide fairways. Great condition. Does have some hazards but is a fair course. Will definitely return to play again
Hampshire Greens Golf Course

This is a links style course that has few water hazards.The course is a fair layout.
Challenging course
This is one of my favorite courses in the area. Very scenic course. Has a number of hilly holes and the greens are undulating. The cart paths need work.
Broadmoor Golf Links

Carts has GPS for yardage. Course has several holes where water comes into play.
