One of my favorites to play on HHI. Course was overseeded so play was decent for winter golf. Most of the greens were in good shape; a few greens had some irregular grass. Definitely will play again on return trips to HHI.

The Barony course was in winter conditions. The weather was cold the day I played. There is no overseeding so there is little grass. If you are a person who is challenged by tight lies, the course plays difficult at this time. The short game is a challenge because of the tight lies. The greens were mixed. Some of the greens were nice and some of the greens had intermittent bare spots. The course has a very nice layout.

I played Robber's Row in winter conditions. The course layout was great. However, there is no overseeding, so the challenge is in playing tight lies. I struggled with my short game because of the tight lies. The greens were nice for this time of year - just a few with some intermitttent bare spots. This is my favorite of the two Port Royal courses. I would recommend playing this course.

Robber’s Row was in great shape even though the grass is dormant. The greens were excellent. The course had a great layout. Overall, the course is player friendly, but has challenging par3’s. I would highly recommend this course and definitely plan to play it again.

This is a great course with a player friendly layout. The course conditions were very good for January golf and the greens were in great shape. Highly recommend this course and will definitely play again.

Robber’s Row was in great condition for January. Fairways were nice and greens were challenging and in great shape. The course had a nice layout. The par 3’s are long - don’t expect any easy par 3’s. There is a very nice and neat pro shop. The staff was also welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend this course.

The fairways other than #10 had matted grass and weeds. The course was not well-maintained. The course has a nice layout, but it needs TLC. Areas of the rough were in terrible shape. I will probably not play there again.

Hilton Head National was a great, player-friendly course. There were some challenging pin placements, but greens were in great shape. Course is well-maintained. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We had 4 different levels of golfers in our group from single digit blue tee to ladies tee and everyone had a great experience - a definite come-back course.

Course was in great shape. Greens were just fertilized and top-dressed, but rolled very well. Great value for the money. Will definitely play again.

We chose this course because it was rated 4 stars by Golf Digest and the price was good. We played the course last year and remembered it as being a decent course. However, we were disappointed in the course conditions. There is no overseeding, so there were many areas where you had little to no grass. The areas around the greens were also sparse. The greens were decent for putting. It was a course for a budget golfer, but it definitely needs some TLC.

The course was well-manicured. The greens were very large, in excellent condition, and rolled true. The fairways were very nice. It was very challenging with a great finishing hole. It is a definite come-back course and one I would highly recommend playing.
