Forge Pond is one of the first places I have ever played and is located a few minutes away from my house. I will start off by saying that it is not at all my first choice, nor is it somewhere I would recommend an experienced golfer to play. The Fairways are SO narrow and the woods are thick so if you don't hit it straight...drop another ball. However, the course is ALWAYS in great condition and well maintained for a par 60 county course. I will always go back and play because it is the perfect place to sharpen up your irons/short game, literally forcing you to hit the ball straight and avoid trouble up by the greens. There are a couple par 4's that are definitely fun and challenging. Great rates and pace is good depending on when you start.

I have played this course quite a few times now, and it gets better every time. it has become one of the nicest ocean county courses and it very well maintained! Course conditions are always up to par and the greens are very large and great for practicing your short game. It is a great place for beginners who want to play a par 72 course and not lose ball after ball due to its very open fairways and lightly wooded areas, but also has some challenging holes for the more intermediate/advanced golfer.

Was super impressed with this place after passing it by on county line rd for a while and never playing. Went with a buddy and got paired with a really great guy riding alone who knew the course well. To my surprise the course was very different than I had anticipated, and was very fun & challenging. Wide fairways were great for intermediate golfers like ourselves and the greens were excellent! I will be returning very soon! Also, after you play the have great food, drinks, outside patio bar, music and great prices. This was a win for me!
