Just a Terrible Day at QP

We had an 8:00 tee time. It was 96 degrees when we teed off, which wasn’t on time.
The advertised pace of play is 3:54. I have played it many times in 3:45. We played it in 4:45. We waited to hit over 90% of our tee and fairway shots.
There was no course marshal to move play.
The temperature when we finished our round was 108. Why is this important? There was no beverage cart on the course and no coolers on the carts. This is a huge safety issue in Tucson in the summer. I was really hoping having Troon manage the course would lead to improvements over time, like their other courses in town, but I was wrong. It will be a long time before I play there again.

Just a great course

I love OCCC. It’s a great course, one of my favorite courses in AZ. Heather and her staff do a great job always having the course in superior shape. You better be in the fairway, as the rough is lush. The greens are true and players repair their ball marks.
Just go play it. You won’t be disappointed.
