Professional shop staff were really not interested in helping visitors.
Found them a bit rude. There was no offer of course lay out knowledge no asking if we had played the course or visited before.
No directions to the locker rooms or the lounge.
It was j7st take the money with a comment "sitck to your time"
It was clear that there was no interest in having visitors. It was as if we were an inconvenience.

Plenty of up hill holes a few blind shots hit it straight and you'll have nothing to worry about.
There are nice open fairways and big greens.
Gor what they are charging just play your game and enjoy it well worth the money.

Standing on the first tee you are welcomed with the virw of a large double fairway.
Dont let this fool anyone into a false security the second shot is over the marker blind uphill to a nice sized green. Not for the fait hearted and no one would be surprised if most golfers played a layup to the bottom of the hill and then played a nice wedge over the marker and took their chances with a single putt for par.
The first hole will set the tone and leave you in no uncertainty about the respect this course demands. Dont be fooled by the amount of par 3's on the card . This a good challenge for all levels of golfers and the scenery around the course is spectacular.
A really nice course and a fair challenge.

Arrived at course early and enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast whilst chatting to the members and staff.
Not having played here before was hoping for a few pointers and some local knowledge before heading out.
My self and playing partner just about managed to stay on our feet after the uphill first as the wind got up adding to the character of the course and reminding us that although it was fairly open it was a challenging course and a good test of golf.
We settled in to a nice pace and managed to tame the wind on the front 9.
Teeing off on the 10th once again you have to consider the elements. This being said the back 9 is more protected from the wind and straight drives and decent approach shots are needed to plot your way around them.
The 16th par 3 over the gully down to the railway line can make or brake your round.its one of those holes you can play shots into all day long.
Once you have enjoyed the 16th, up pops a great blind par 4, that if your brave and hug the treeline on the left this is one to go for.
This is finished of with a nice straight par 4 all down hill back to the club house.
Where the staff are waiting to welcome you back with variety of meals on offer from the menu and a few refreshments.
We managed to the great surprise of the staff and member's to complete our round in just 2 hours 10 mins. However we were a 2 ball and managed to tame the elements.
For most I would think a 2 ball will be around the 3 hour mark. May be just over.
Great friendly little club and one we will definitely be back playing sooner rather than later.
A fairvtest for all levels and very enjoyable.

Played On 03/22/2018Great course hidden gem
Played this course late in March just after the cold snap and the bombardment of snow that brought most of the country to a standstill.
Only I temp green which unfortunately was the wonderful 17th par 3.
The greenstaff had worked endlessly getting the rest of the course back on track which they have done and a great day's golfing was had.
Fully recommend anyone to play this course.
Thanks for your comments. Haste ye back.
