Truly a great golf course but 5:45 for 18 holes is just too long. Took 3 hours for first 9 holes. Complained to ranger and he said it should pick up as a slow couple was told to speed it up. Why could they not have done that earliet?
Course itself is great and some of the best finishing holes for any course I have played. 17 is a memory and will definitely make your knees shake.
Looking forward to my next round there - just hope it will be quicker

Took us just short of 3hours to play the front nine. Fortunately the threesome in front of us quit after 9holes and we finished the back nine in just under two as we did not see another soul on the back nine. Good value and decent layout.

Pace of play was very slow and at one stage we were three groups waiting on the same tee.
Considering the amount of rain we had the course was in good shape although we did get a few plugged lies on the fairway.
As a first time player at the course I found it quite challenging where to lay up and there are many blind shots.
It might be easier the second time around but I think there are more interesting courses in the area to explore.

Played at Cimarrone the week before. It is like comparing apples to oranges. South Hampton in much better shape. Greens were good (maybe a bit slow) but overall course in great condition. Played with two members and they helped a lot navigating around the course. Maybe not a lot of water hazards but more than enough bunkers. Will definitely play again.
