2 groups of 3 decided to form 1 group of 6 while playing the Valley Course.

Caused the group directly behind them to play slow and the twosome behind them to play multiple shots on every hole.

We could have finished an hour earlier

I was in a twosome and we were behind a foursome - elderly gentlemen.

The pace was fine since we weren't in a rush but then around hole 7, there was a threesome and a twosome closing in on us.

We picked up the pace and we were a shot behind the foursome. At different times, we were waiting at the tee box for them to finish teeing off.

The foursome didn't offer to let us play through nor did they pick up the pace.

The threesome caught up to us and decided they couldn't wait and skipped 2 holes.

Then the twosome caught up to us at hole 11 and starts barking at us - saying where did you come from, I've not seen you. We were playing behind the threesome. They started yelling at us saying we cut in front of them. Then they start saying we were behind the foursome.

This went on for 3 holes. The marshal actually drove by us and we couldn't flag him down. Neither did the couple behind us who claimed we cut in front of them.

After a lengthy shouting match with this elderly twosome, we finally convince them that they were wrong when the threesome that skipped the holes to pass us and the foursome was right behind them!!!

Marshal could have done a few things here:

1. Make the foursome pick up the pace.
2. Ask them to let people play through
3. Stopped us to ask us how our day was
4. Stopped the elderly twosome how their day was
