If you haven’t played Windy Knoll you are missing out

Played as a single on the 2nd tee time of the day and finished inside 2 hours. The course is very nice and playable. Nice to see all the staff working on the course in the morning (mowing fairways, cutting holes, rolling greens etc). It doesn’t happen without people A BIG THANKS.

Course is in very good shape, greens was a little slow. Played as a two in right at e hours, partner was a member. That was a big help with the next shot. Fairways are narrow but enough rough to keep ball in play.

I play this course every time I m in the area. Course was in great shape (especially after all the rain) much better than last year. Fairways was almost perfect and the greens maybe not the greenest, but rolled true and fast. Course is a little out of the way to get to, but worth it. Very nice quiet area and great round of golf.

The staff made the first impression very relaxed and ready to play. Course has a lot of water which makes you think about shot selection. Greens was rolling very fast. Overall a very pleasant 3.5hour round.

This course is unbelievable all the around. From the pro shop, starter was great (as a single put me with a group of 3 a couple tee times ahead of mine). Really pretty course with lots of nature and scenery and in great shape. Pace of play was just under 4 hours.

2nd time playing this course (2-20). Overall very nice from the tee box, to the greens. Fairways are wide enough that you can stay out of trouble. I thought the greens were a little fast, but my playing partners thought they were slow. Just goes slow personal opinion can be completely different. But they did roll very nice and true, and hard enough that you didn’t have many divits. Pace of play (with 3 different 9 holes) front 9 was 1hr 50, but 2 groups in front of us was gone on 2nd 9 (not if only played 9, or went to a different 9). But the 2nd 9 was wide open and finished just under 1hr 30. We only a 3 player group. Would play more if it didn’t take an hour to drive there.

Course was in great shape (tee boxes, fairways, & greens) no bad spots anywhere. Was a little wet from the rain the last few days. If your tee shot is off the fairway it’s going to be in thick grass good luck with that one. Greens had just been rolled so they were fast and true. The course layout is just okay, holes are mainly straight and run back and forth from each other. It is fairly quiet, except for the seals hollowing from the zoo or the deer on the course. Holes 17, & 18 are the prettiest holes on the course very nice. Ranger was on the course and stopped and asked about our round, starter also asked about our round after we got in. Was nice that both took time to make for a great day.

For a municipal course that is in small town Valentine Nebraska this course is unbelievable. To start the young man in the pro shop was very informative, explaining the history of the course. The tee boxes were like walking on carpet. The fairways was next to perfect. While the greens had just been sanded they rolled true and quick. The course is in some of the rolling sand hills of the area and very picturesque. For the money of a Hot Deal this is the best course I have ever played. Shooting a good round on a perfect day with my wife, doesn’t hurt. Oh don’t let the 10 hole course (that’s right the course is only 10 holes) cause you to miss out on this gem.

Have played Windy Knoll for years and it is just a great course to play. It is in great shape.

Try to play every few years when passing through the area. Another nice experience guy in pro shop was very informative, some of the maintenance guys stopped and said hi, and asked how things was going. Course in nice shape, greens are very fast. Always love all the river views. Only negative looks like they are letting some of the bunkers go, but I can understand with the cost for upkeep. All in all a very nice day.

This course is unbelievable it has fairways that funnel between sides of the mountain and drops in elevation. One par 3 your tee shot takes longer to fall down to the green than it takes to travel distance. Just so pretty.

Was very nice from the time I dropped bags at the bag drop. Staff in the pro shop took time and treated me like more than a number. Course was well worth the money, fairways are green. The greens had a few brown spots but rolled very good. The panther nine has a par 6 which is something kind of unique.
