Angus Glen Golf Club - South
Played On 09/28/2021Fall golf
Held up for slow play. 5 hour round. A lot of ball marks in some greens. Always repairing extra ball marks. Greens not in top shape based on green fees. Great layout.
Trillium Wood Golf Club

Greens were rough from punching and top dressing.. Pace slow due to lack of marshalling at times. This is a good course but fall maintenance has to be expected..
Highlands Reserve Golf Club

Play was a little slow to start. Sped up on the second 9. Green speed was good and puts rolled true. A challenging and fun layout. Nice elevation changes. A good day of golf enjoyed by our foursome.
Hi Carl, We would like to apologize for the pace of play. We are happy to hear that you had a great day out on our course. Please come again soon!

Horseshoe Resort - Valley
Played On 09/07/2014Hit it straight and stay below the pins!
Course has very narrow fairways, smaller greens that putt very fast and true and lots of elevation change. Club selection is important in course management. Using irons or utility clubs are often the best strategy on a lot of holes. The greens are very sloped and very dangerous if you are putting from above the pins. Scenic course that presents itself very well. Criticisms are the the poor and rough cart path conditions in many parts. The carts are not in the best condition and appear to be rejects from the Highlands course.
Old South Golf Links
Played On 04/05/2014Solid test of golf
Enjoyed the layout and variety of holes. The course had many nice views and provided a good but fair challenge. If you are not a good golfer play the shorter tees otherwise you will have a big score and slow up the course. The greens were in excellent condition although a little on the slow side. Recommend the course guide if you haven't played here before. We did run into some slow golfers on the back 9 however the Marshall did his best to move things along and it definitely improved. Friendly staff and good food. Good practice area with a quality chipping/putting green.
Baxter Creek Golf Club
Played On 10/17/2012Nicely conditioned course with a good layout
Front 9 has a more forgiving layout. Back 9 has a few challenging holes that can bump up your scores. Greens putt fast. Nice clubhouse facility and range. 19th hole par 3 great for a game ending challenge.
Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you experienced slow pace, we work hard to ensure each group keeps up to the group in front of them through our Cart GPS system. Our maintenance crew has kept the course in great shape right up until our closing day, greens were punched, yes, but it is a necessary step to help keep the life of the greens over the winter. If you would like to discuss your experience more I would be happy to hop on a phone call to help ensure your next visit is exceptional. Cheers.
