The greens, fairways and tee boxes were OK for this time of year. The cart paths are long past needing some serious repair work.I gave it 3 stars for value only because of a golf now deal. There is no way that the course justifies their regular rates or at least I wouldn’t pay that much to play this course.

This course was so bad that it should not have been open. The fairways were not just wet, they were muddy and sadly lacking any decent grass cover. The greens were decent. My reservation was made thru Golf Now and there was no mention of the poor conditions and that there was a cart path only rule in place.
Be aware that if you play this course you will only be allowed to go out at your scheduled tee time and not earlier, even if slots are open. Today they told us we would be starting on the back 9 . We sat at the 10th tee for 30 minutes with no one teeing off yet they would not let us go off until our booked time.

Mike, Thank you for playing Wachesaw East and your review. Here is some information that will help better understand your concerns:
- The Myrtle Beach / Grand Strand Area has received an enormous amount of rainfall this winter, especially in February. According to local meteorologists, the area has not been able to obtain seven straight days without rainfall since November 2019. We are currently in a state of River Flood Warnings and the Intracoastal Waterway is at extremely high levels. In addition, there are communities in the area that have received flooding. Furthermore, the average high and low temperatures in February can hinder a course from drying faster. All of these factors will unfortunately make water drainage a difficult task and can result in Cart Path Only rules for the day(s).
- In regards to your concern about not being able to tee off early: We Double Tee golfers in the morning and afternoon. This means, golfers will be making the turn from Hole #9 to #10 and Hole #18 to #1. We still had two groups that needed to make the turn from Hole #9 to #10. Our records indicate that you played your first six holes within 1 hour and 20 minutes. We are happy to see the pace of play was on schedule and enjoyable. Have played this course in past visits to Myrtle Beach and always found it to be in decent condition and fun to play during winter months. Today was not fun, course exceptionally wet and with cart paths only rule play was very slow and down right exhausting. When reservation was made there was no mention of condition or cart path only rule. It certainly was not good value today.

I rated it three stars for value only because of the golf now price. Their regular rate would only get one star. They have several different courses that apparently can be played in different combinations of holes and it appears they send the golf now customers off the on the less desirable combinations. ( this according to my playing partners who have played the course before ).

Did not care for the layout. Front nine like a mountain course , back nine flat and wet. Pace of play was great because to course was almost empty as the weather was not that great. Conditions were OK considering time of year and to be fair the course looked like conditions would be much, much better as get into warmer weather. I rated it as a great value only because of the Golf Now price I received. I do not think the course would ever justify their normal rates. I indicated that I would recommend the course to a friend only at a Golf Now deal.

this course was so wet it should have been declared unplayable. the fairways were so bad that most tee shots plugged. the greens weren't much better, they were like walking on a sponge.
overall a terrible golf experience.

there is absolutely nothing not to like about this course. it gives one the opportunity to work the ball both right and left and each hole is distinctly different. fun course to play and a great layout.

Didn't like the greens. Most were too severely sloped back to front which made some holes difficult to play.
