This is a great golf experience from pickup by shuttle in the parking lot to the unfolding of each beautiful hole. The course has some very challenging holes with elevated greens abounding and peril behind some. Great fun. Our only complaint involved our cart which slowly died between the 11th and 12 th hole. I called the number on the score card which was the main number for the Westin Resort. Was put on hold and finally spoke to someone who took down our info and said someone would be right out. Pace of place had been slow so we didn’t wait long before loading our clubs in the other cart and proceeding. No cart by the end of the 12th so I called again. Same routine. Was assured that someone would be right out. A staff member arrived half way up the 13th and seemed a bit put off that we hadn’t stayed with our cart—which he wouldn’t have been able to use anyway to get back. It probably was a shorter walk to our dead cart than to the clubhouse so I was puzzled about his rather grumpy manner. Anyway, it all worked out and we proceeded on our fun round. The score card needs to have a direct line to the clubhouse for this situation and medical emergencies!

We had a fun round. The course is well-maintained and interesting. The greens roll nicely and are in excellent condition. I applaud that they water judiciously so that fairways are vivid green but the rough is brown (although not hard to hit from). It has enough challenge for a 22- handicapper while also being manageable. A couple of the par 3s are long for women. The course is a bit chopped up with some holes tucked between houses and with a few road crossings which are safe but take away from the overall flow. At the end of the round, if you show your card in the pro shop, you get a free drink. The couple we played with had no problem getting this coupon while we were told Hot Deals do not get this. Minor point, but they had gotten a Hot Deal too!
The carts are new and well-equipped.

It’s long so bring your big clubs and some of the par 3s are particularly long. But the holes are all beautiful and very welcoming. The fairways are in great shape and the greens are decent. They roll well despite some nicks from poor ball mark repairs. And they are quick! Bunkers are well maintained, particularly when you can just look at them and not hit out of them. The 19th hole offers discount beers and appetizers after 4. We didn’t eat but I saw some great plates of food go by—especially the burgers.
The planes taking off and landing add a thrill to the vistas from the course. It’s a must play course.

My two sisters and I had a wonderful round at HHNational yesterday. The course is in very good shape from the tee box to the green. The fairways are wide and forgiving and the greens are in excellent shape. Clearly players repair their ball marks. We played from the red tees which made for good scores but we will probably move back when we play next as the total yardage was only 4600. However, that will add 1000 yards...
The staff is warm and welcoming and the clubhouse is nicely laid out.

This is a very nice public course. Indian mound is really beautiful and the course is fun and challenging. Greens are a bit mossy and slow but the sand is good quality--if you are careless enough to get in! Highly recommend, especially for the $23 we paid for 18 holes and a cart.

This is a lovely course, particularly the back nine, which seems to be an African savannah landscape. The holes are varied and challenging and the greens are fast and tricky. The staff is very warm and welcoming and the ranger checked with us several times to see how my sisters and I were getting on. Will play the course again this week.
