Hard to beat their summer rates

This place is very inexpensive during the summer months. The course design is above average.
There are plenty of long par 4's on this par 70. The staff is unfriendly, there's no cooler of ice on your cart, the traps don't have much sand, and the greens are a little below average. But for the price it is one of the best deals around. I just cannot complain when I pay so little. I will go back soon.

Lots of bang for buck

You know when you drive in that you'll enjoy the conditions. It is beautiful. We had a tee time on the sister course, but it was newly punched and they got us off on this course. Good ice machines and restrooms appropriately placed. Plenty of practice ares. Range balls were only $3 a drop. Met cashier, cart boy, and marshall. All were professional and ready to help. The houses are not very close to the wide fairways. Fairways were very good. Greens were good for mid June and putted true. I was in four traps, one was hard and others were good. I took the wife and beginner son. They found the course tough due to length of ladies' and forward tees. We did not expect that at a retirement community. We teed off late morning on a cooler summer day and we rarely got near other groups. For the price we paid on Golfnow, I would be silly to complain about much here. As a tip, be careful on tee shots around the turn. There's some trouble you cannot see and the only map was on tee boxes rock. It can get very windy this far northeast of Palm Springs. I will go back soon.

Good Condition

The holes range from about 80 to 150 yards. Most are in the 85 to 105 range. The greens are medium size so it's not too tricky. I've seen a marshall the last couple times I played it. Tee boxes have mats. The greens are better than most local courses. There's a good sized driving range and putting green.

Just enough par fours to differentiate this from a par three course. I think there was a nice water feature on every hole. It's easy enough for a high handicapper. It's beautiful enough to keep a mid handicapper interested. Traps were sandy enough. Houses weren't too close to the fairways. Club house is modern and beautiful. Lots of tee boxes. If you play the blacks, most people can use driver on the par fours. I didn't see more than one or two water fountains on the course, so take liquids with you.
