I have played this course every season for the last five years and this is the best condition that I have experienced. The greens were rebuilt last summer and while there are still some patches that need to grow in on them they are markedly better. We teed of in early afternoon and had to wait for carts to come off the course to get one. However in talking with the staff it was because they can't get parts for the ones that need repair. In any event we teed off on time and the pace of play was pretty good...as to be expected for in season golf.

The staff was very friendly in the pro shop when we checked in. We were a twosome and teed off just after 2pm and the pace of play was still great, with nobody behind us. Really liked the layout of the course with ample landing areas off the tee. There are four set of tees...we played the white at just over 6,000 yards. Back tees would really test your long game! The condition of the course could definitely be better...there are weeds throughout and even on a number of greens. There also a good amount of bare spots on a number of greens. If they can get the weeds under control and fix the spots on the greens this would be a great course. Still very enjoyable to play and will definitely check it out again in the future.

I used a GolfNow reward so my rating on the value for the money is based on their current in-season rate. It is a pretty nice public course for the Naples/Ft Myers area but I have trouble thinking its worth over $100 for an afternoon tee time since we have so many excellent public courses up north that cost less than $50. However, the staff was extremely nice and the course was in pretty good shape...a few weeds in the rough but the greens rolled nicely. Water on every hole but relatively short holes from the blue tees...most of the 6,000 yards comes from several long par 5's with one playing about 575. Overall it was enjoyable and moved along fairly well except that I was a single and ended up behind a couple of foursomes that should have let me play through.

The Mustang was in superb condition, with tees fairways and greens all well taken care of and no weeds or bare spots. The greens rolled fast and true. The landing areas are generous off the tee but there are plenty of bunkers along the fairways and around the greens to punish a wayward shot. There are also plenty of water hazards to keep you on your toes. However one of the toughest aspects of the course was the 20+ mph wind, with a number of holes playing straight into the wind and turning a challenging hole into a beast even from the white tees. Give it a go, you'll really enjoy the round.

Great first time experience at this course...from the woman in the pro shop to the condition of the tees, fairways and greens and the course layout. We used it as a season warm up course to shake off the rust from our layoff up north. It's perfectly suited for honing your iron play as most holes require wedge, nine or eight iron. You can leave your driver in the bag and hit some long irons on about five holes. The greens rolled nicely but not fast but they were in pretty good shape. The course was wet from recent rains so balls plugged a few times but we were still able to take our cart most everywhere.

While Panther Run is a bit of a drive from Naples proper, it is still worth the drive. The course is a great layout for golfers of varying handicaps and abilities. The practice facilities are quite extensive and the tees and greens were in excellent shape . However, the fairways have quite a bit of crabgrass and weeds in them. Easy to overlook at off-season pricing...not so easy to do so as seasonal pricing kicks in. Unfortunately it doesn't appear that they are addressing the problem either since there is no sign of the weeds having been treated or removed. If they were removed the course would rate as one of the best public tracks in the area.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice of a course Quail Village is given its length. While not a long course, it's layout gives you the opportunity to play most of the clubs in your bag. The course was in excellent condition and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. My one complaint was that the pace of play was slow, particularly when I made the turn and ran into a fivesome. Once the let me play through I was able to play the rest of the round pretty quickly. I chalked that up to members playing a friendly round together on an off-season weekend afternoon so I doubt that is the norm. I would definitely play the course afain.

The course, while a bit short on yardage, makes up for it by bringing water into play on almost every hole. The course was in excellent shape with tee boxes, fairways and greens all well maintained. The first nine moved along at a decent pace but the back nine was extremely slow. Other than that it's a track worth considering.

Panther Run offers five sets of tees plus combination tees so every golfer should be able to play a yardage that they're comfortable with but still find challenging. The day we played was busy but the pace of play was still very good. Tees and greens were in excellent shape but the fairways did have a fair number of weeds that should be dealt with. Plenty of water on the course to have to navigate but the fairways are generous so most of it will not be in play for the mid to low handicapper. Overall a good value for the money and enjoyable track.

We hadn't played this course in several years. Remembered it being an enjoyable track but not much else. We were very surprised at how good of shape the course was in...especially being "off season". The tees, fairways and greens were well groomed not at all spotty. The rough was also well maintained and challenging but fair. Bunkers were well supplied with sand nicely raked and there was plenty of water hazards to contend with. It was a good test of golf from the white tees at just over 6,000 yards but there are five sets of tees to choose from for every handicap. We'll definitely be back!

We played this course last spring and thought it was an ok track for the fee paid even though it's a long way down from Naples proper. This round we found that the tee boxes were in terrible shape and many hadn't been mowed in awhile. The fairways were shaggy with a lot of weeds. Some sandtraps were ok, some were terrible. The greens had tons of fungus spots Nd a couple had "stripes" from an obvious hydraulic leak from the mower.

Shelridge offers a challenging 18 hole private club experience for a fraction of other country clubs. The course conditions have greatly improved from just a few years ago with the fairways and greens well groomed. The greens are the real test, with most offering a severe back to front slope and FAST...requiring the approach shot to be well placed. While there are not the usual fancy off course amenities associated with the more costly country clubs, Shelridge offers a nicely stocked pro shop, free range balls and practice areas and a very nice bar/restaurant area with excellent food. A must try course for those in western NY!!

Played in the afternoon on a Hot Deal...very cheap after paying in-season rates the last 3 months at local courses. Fairways were in great shape & greens were fast and true. Pace of play was very good and the Ranger made an appearance several times to ensure things were moving.

While the course plays under 6,000 yards from the blue tees, the par 3's and 4's are a good test of shotmaking and the greens roll nicely.

Pace of play was very good with our round taking just about 4 hours. Staff at the bag/cart drop and in the Pro shop were very friendly and courteous. Would definitely play again.

Eagle Lakes is way out east where Tamiami Trail turns into a two lane road...but its worth driving out that far to play it. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and the $48 greens fee through Golf Now was a good bargain for this course in November.

The layout was a good challenge, with water on every hole, yet there was ample landing areas which makes it a reasonable course for both low and high handicappers. The farways are a bit spotty in some places but the greens were in impeccable shape though a bit on the slow side.

All in all a wonderful experience.

Have played this course a number of times in the past. While the greens were in decent shape the fairways and rough were in terrible shape. Many bare spots in the fairways and a ton of weeds and crabgrass. Unfortunately the course has been allowed to really go downhill.

Great course for the price! Corse was in great induction and was able to get the round in in three and a half hours.

Had driven by this private course on our way to Niagara Falls a number of times but had no idea what a great course it is. Quite a test of your game with plenty of length from the white tees on the par fours and fives, with many changes in elevation to make you think. The course was in great condition, especially the fairways and greens, with the greens rolling quick. Will definitely play this course more in the future if they continue to make it available to the public.
