Yesterday I played with 3 other guests at the Country Club of Miami and I was horrified at the conditions at this public golf course. ALL the fairways are diseased, full of crab grass and weeds everywhere! If you manage to hit a good ball into the fairway you get no ball roll as a result. Utterly disappointing! Additionally, although the greens where in better shape than the fairways, everyone had some type of fungus, dry patch or burn. It is upsetting and a total disappointment that the Miami-Dade Parks Division would run such a shotty operation for the public with all the tax payer moneys collected. What's truly saddening is that this course has such a rich history and this management is just ruining its reputation.

What a shame! This was a nice course years ago but, it seems that ownership has abandoned all resemblance of any kind of maintenance. The building and hotel is a dump and in dis-repair. Greens are fair but, the fairways are like a cow pasture. No cart person for hydration and they ban personal coolers! No ranger of any kind to monitor the pace of play. What a Chit show. Buyer beware!

The management at this course are very ruse and arrogant. I have a history of AFib which is a serious life threatening heart condition. As a result I cannot afford the luxury of dehydrating while playing golf. I bring a cooler with me to ensure that I have that condition under control. The staff manager said that no coolers were allowed under any circumstances because their concession/bar area was available. However, there is no cart service. Also,to top it off he said he’s heard my story before. In other words he called me a liar. He did offer to give me a full refund if I didn’t want to play. I had invited my boys to play and didn’t want to disappoint the. So, I put my cooler back in my car and completed their round. I have played over 600 hundred rounds in various courses and have never experienced a manager in charge like this individual. I will not ever play at this place again.

So where do I start I get the course there is a sign posted and the starter and the staff advise “NO COOLERS” so I said ok do you guys have at least a cart lady to bring drinks? NOPE NO CART PERSON. So I said what happens when I’m dehydrated and need to drink a cold water, the front desk guy hands me a plastic bag and says go buy waters at the bar or wait til you finish the front nine then drink. So not only are they forcing you to pay a ridiculous amount to play there crappy course but they also force you to buy there drinks. Do your self’s a favor go play a course for the same money that is 20 times better shape, let’s you bring your own cooler and at least has a cart person to provide a professional service instead of these “communists” at grand palms trying to jack you for all your money possible. Staff here also are rude. STAY AWAY!!!

Challenging course in good condition. However, pace of play was terrible. We had very poor golfers in front with no sense of golf etiquette. They hacked their way repeatedly down the fairway until the green and their putting was awful! Compounding the situation is that there is no course ranger to enforce a reasonable pace of play. Due to this arrangement, we finished an hour and a half, yes that’s right, past the usual 4 and a half pace. I won’t be coming back for a while.

I was pleasantly surprised by this course. Based upon reviews in Golfnow from previous players, I thought this course might be disappointing. Since I was in Gainesville visiting my son in pharmacy school and didn't want to drive very far for a better rated/reviewed course, I decided to take a chance and come out to try this course. I was pleasantly surprised by the conditions and the greens were in terrific shape. The course was moderately challenging with key lay-ups to in order to par. The scenery was very nice as well with wild deer and turkeys running wild. The ranger and staff were very pleasant and accommodating. I will definitely come back on subsequent visits.

First time playing this course and it was wonderful even though it had rained continuously the night before. It was cart only and as a result slow but, the view and the course was worth it. The staff is sure friendly and the facilities are immaculate. I am definitely coming back.

Nice course with many challenging holes and water hazards including alligators! The play was a little slow due to the popularity and value of this course. Facility is clean with ample bathrooms throughout the course. The golf carts are equipped with gps and they can provide you with a cooler for drinks. The service staff is friendly. I will definitely come back.
