Rancocas Golf Club
Played On 09/29/2015Ok experience for the value
Must have been a real jewel in its heyday. Course is a bit run down now. Fair layout and challenging but not a ball stealer. Parkland style with minimal rough and medium bunkering that has sand in need of a fill up. (Crusty dirt instead of sand in some cases). Staff was friendly. Course does not offer a 9 hole rate but golf now had $32 rate with a cart that was cheaper than the courses senior rate (I took my parents out and they are only up for 9 holes now at 75yrs young). Enjoyed the day and the layout..would have liked to see the condition a little better but hard to argue with the price. If you are looking for a 19th hole you need to bring it with you as the course is dry. Staff said BYOB is allowed and the carts all have coolers. Overall I would go back.
Olde Oaks Golf Club - Meadow/Oak
Played On 4/6/2013Great bones but needs CPR
Hal Sutton designed a gem here but lack of attention has left it a dog track. Pro shop was attentive but grill staff and on course staff seemed like summer hires who couldn't be bothered. 5 dollar muddy range balls. No course Marshall. Drink cart on course that never made it to us in 18 holes. On course bathrooms that were overflowing and unflushable...and bunkers that have no sand in them just raked mud... Would have liked to see this course before it was run into the ground....
