I played with three American strangers and had a thoroughly enjoyable time with them. Sadly the condition of the course did not enhance our fun. I had read previous reviews about the condition and I confirm that compared with other local courses it was poor. I say it needs investment only because the grass on the greens was threadbare or non existent. However, with rolling, it was still a reasonable surface to putt on, but it didn’t look good.
I won’t be going back on this vacation but perhaps next year I shall read the reviews to see if enough corrective work has been carried out. Nice staff.

It was not until I arrived that I found that only the front nine holes were in play due to work being carried out on the back nine. I appreciate it has to be done but if I had been told I could have played at hawks landing for a cheaper price that day. Perhaps that’s why I wasn’t told?

I played this course two days ago and felt that the oversanding of the greens and general work on the course could have merited a reduced green fee.
However I played it again today and all was good with the greens running well and the fairways in good condition.
Once again the ‘star’ of the show was the starter, Pedro, who couldn’t have been more helpful.

Unfortunately the greens had been heavily sanded and the fairways were also undergoing annual remedial work. To play the Course without those distractions could be very good. The layout is interesting and there are some very nice holes. However the proximity of some surrounding properties to possible landing areas of stray golf balls was a bit intimidating.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, particularly the Starter (called Pedro, I think).
I shall certainly try to play it again during this vacation.

It was unfortunate that heavy rain occurred two days before I played. The 90 degree cart rule, whilst necessary, always detracts a bit from the fun and speed of play.
The staff were outstanding. Nothing too much trouble.
They are currently carrying out alteration work to a few holes on the course and, understandably, this reduces the flow and enjoyment of the course.
I look forward to returning after they have completed all their upgrading works.

The course was in excellent condition. Friendly staff. A lot of very good and interesting golf holes. I will make sure I play it again on this vacation.

I last played this course 18 months ago. I wasn’t impressed then but it is close by so I thought I’d give it another chance. A mistake. The condition of the tees and greens were well below standard. I don’t know how often they cut the greens but they certainly weren’t cut that day of the day before. There were tufts of grass on the greens. I was very disappointed.

Greens and fairways in excellent condition. Very good value for money. Happy to return there.

I played at 7.40am. Very early! Unfortunately there were no other players to play with. Whilst at first disappointed, I then had a wonderful round of golf playing the odd second ball when I messed up with the first. End result, I finished in 2 hours 10 minutes, never lost a ball and shot 88! Very happy for a great practice game. I can’t fault the course and the greens ran very well. I shall be pleased to go back again and ‘try my luck’ in a competitive game with some friendly Americans.
