First time playing this course as halfway travel distance for our foursome. The pace of play was great, because the locals are playing elsewhere. If you play this course, be prepared to hunt for your ball if it doesn’t end up in the fairway. To say the rough was rough is an understatement! Grass was above ankle to above knee in places, even if you found your ball, it was not easy advancing the ball, which made for a very unpleasant round, we won’t be back. In all fairness, the pro shop told me that they just don’t have the necessary course maintenance help. Sad! The staff was great, food (burger and brew special) was excellent. Until they can get this course in better condition, play at your own risk!!!

Took my 80 y/o dad out for some quality father/son time out on the links, he suggested this course, as close to his church. He was hospitalized 3 times this year (2 heart attacks and a collapsed lung) so I was just glad that he’d recovered enough, that he even wanted to get out together. I booked earliest time possible (7AM) but 2 twosomes were ahead of us, evidently first group out was SLOW! As my dad hadn’t played in over a year, had him play silver tees (furthest up), and he did struggle at times, but we kept up with group ahead of us, I was usually waiting to hit. Now the bad part, the 3some behind us were impatient and rude, they hit into us, and had the ranger come out to tell us to keep up, which we were doing. RUDE GOLFERS, please show better golf manners, don’t be so impatient with the golfers in front of you, relax, try to enjoy yourselves, as my dad and I did. The course was great, played true, except for 16. As first time player, wasn’t sure where to hit, or what club to use, water got me, didn’t score well. Using that as excuse for not breaking 80 today...
